I disagree. I actually think he's been quite useful. - hscesq
You know what the best part about Staubitz is? The team has another guy instead of only Ryan White willing to drop the gloves.

I'll make a guess saying it's not very good, like the rest of the season. - stinger67
It's his fault cause he didnt win every fight. |

He's a bigger, slower, less talented Tom Kostopoulos.
But yeah, he "fights". Even if he doesn't win. - Pecafan Fan
Not sure "talented" and "Tom Kostopoulos" belong in the same sentence... |

He would kick Kosto's ass, like everybody else did. Nice to see a guy like Staubitz in the line up. The habs need a guy like him, someone that sticks up for his teammates. - pete26
I think this is the point. He isn't going to improve their record by being in there. |

White is far from a heavyweight, Staubitz isnt exactly one either, but closer than White is, if not by size, at least by fighting abilities. |

I'm saying that was the worst job of broadcasting I have ever witnessed - and I've seen Jack Edwards and Rick Jeanerette. |

True. And I'm okay with that. Thing is, it shouldn't be up to Ryan White to take on all the goons in the league. If Shawn Thornton wants to fight White, who's going to do something if a guy like Lucic or McQuaid does something stupid?
I'm not saying Staubitz is the best option, but he is certainly a useful one for his price. |

having toothless goons that fights the other team's toothless goons made this team so much better, hence their record. - stinger67
Yes, the future of the franchise rests solely on the shoulders of one Bradley Staubitz. |

Im not sure he would even without the metal plates, his last attempt at fighting really didnt go so well. |

"White recently picked up."
Drafted by Montreal in 2006 (3/66).

How Neil didn't get a misconduct for shoving the linesman to get into a fight at the end of the 1st is beyond me. |

Well, isn't that attempt WHY he has metal plates? Hard to judge when that's pretty much our only example. |

I want the Habs to get tougher, that's for sure. That being said, having a guy or two that can barely play hockey isn't going to help them. |

On a 4th line that plays about 5 mins/game, I fail to see how this is a glaring concern. |

Me either, and the habs will never go after a true heavyweight again after the BGL debacle. Staubitz doesnt win every fight, but he has won a few, as i said he isnt a true heavyweight, when he jumps up in class either by size definition or pugilistic skills wise, he will lose. As will most light heavyweights to true heavyweights, as much as a lot of hab fans dont like it, he has a role to play. In chippy, physical games he is more effective than Darche is, or in games against much bigger tougher teams like boston and philly. |
