I don't really think Bob hurts the team or their cap situation as a backup, certainly not to the point where we have to move him. There is really no reason to consider moving Bob unless somebody significantly overpays for him. That hasn't happened yet, and I don't think it's going to happen. If Bob was that highly sought after, he'd have been moved already.
He's worth more to the Flyers as insurance against a Bryz injury than he is a a trading chip. Hard to see that changing any time soon. - BringBack25
I don't think Bob is "highly" sought after either, but Schneider would be and he didn't get moved at the deadline either. A number of teams will be looking to upgrade their tender position in the off-season. Guys like the ones I mentioned will be in the discussion. I agree that there is no urgency to moving Bob in the off season. He's under a cheap contract for one more season and is only 23. Another year of back-up "seasoning" won't hurt him. But with Bryz being here for the long haul now it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have a guy like Bob around beyond next season imo. I would prefer he get moved this off season if there is a decent deal to be made.

This poor guy gets injured in a fight last year. This year he gets sliced in the face in warmups and now a shoulder injury which is also listed with his concussion.

The big question with Bob is, does he have more value now or in another year? Will he pull a Varlamov power play and threaten a KHL jump to force a trade when his current deal is up? Will he sign a short term deal next summer to stay and back-up Bryzgalov?

I think you dont wait to find out. There are deals to be made this off-season for sure. I think the Flyers should sign Grossmann, and Kubina if he is cheap.. Resign Jagr and Voracek... Then deal a combination of Meszaros, Bob, and a forward for a top tier defenseman. And see if you can sign a checking line center and winger or a back-up goalie like Clemmenson or Biron.
