Simmonds is allowed to take a Sunday stroll out from behind the net and buries it top shelf. What the hell was that Leaf's d-man thinking there? He just turned his head and skated away from Simmonds like he had the plague or something. - BringBack25
They found out that Jeff Finger still gets paid the same as if he was in the NHL |

Sid took a puck to the face ...left game - keatondixon
so there will be 2 days of coverage about him getting hit, 2 days coverage on his return, and all players made to wear full face masks next year |

If it wasn't for Carle that would have been an even strength goal...he's helps his team even when he's not on the ice. |

my favorite is the bull rush off the face off. could you imagine Lindros in today's no clutch adn grab NHL? holy frank...esp when he could take over series like the rangers series where he basically dominated them with them jumping on him.
LeClair in front of thenet would be unmoveable today too |

I feel bad for Read. Coates asks him the SAME EXACT STUPID QUESTIONS every time he's interviewed between periods. |

There is 10X the talk about it in here than in the Pens thread, hes back in the game. Their down 2, but they'll tie it up or win it in the 3rd. |

It's pretty obvious to me why the Leafs aren't a playoff team. There is a clear and distinct difference between the compete level of the Leafs in the offensive end versus the defensive end. They have zero hunger for the puck in their own end. They stand and look around. Late in the 2nd, Talbot was laying on the ice and took a puck away from a Leaf. Flyers winning every race and battle for the puck for the most part. The Leafs compete level in their own end is sickening.

I saw that....the players are just nothing special. How this franchise has gone so long without finding the next Sundin is baffling. |

i was 9yrs old when he came into the league so like many he was my fav player. he was my first non-blank Flyers jersey. i'll never forget being in the players entrance inside the spectrum when i participated in a shoot out between periods when he came in and when i was in the tunnel waiting to go on the ice for mites on ice getting his autograph on my stick (he was out that game, i think knee). those were the days when you shared the players space when you did those things, dressed next to their locker room and they all walked by you in the hall when they came off the ice |

They have some decent players. But they lack that muscle in the middle of your chest.

Talbot and Jagr against the Pens will be a pretty sweet storyline when the Flyers play the Pens |
