I hear you. It's not fair to expect him to be sharp when he has started 3 games in the last 6 weeks or so. - PLindbergh31
Limited playing time or not, that third goal has to be stopped. Atrocious. But you do have to feel for Bob a little bit. |

Yeah, and Bryzgalov has the track record of being one of the better goalies in the game over the past four or five years, plus the ability to rebound from bad stretches and bad seasons.
Bobrovsky's played 80 NHL games. - Jsaquella
And given how sporadic they have been this season, it's no wonder why he's inconsistent.
Bob has already shown to me at a young age that when given consistant starts, he can put up starter numbers. |

If he did, the Wellwood line wouldn't be on the ice with the Alfie line. - mochoson
he's got Couts line against the spezza line

The earliest he is getting the boot off his foot is late next week. He still has to skate, be cleared for contact, and build up his endurance, you can look at it "positive" or realistic. I'm choosing to use logic. - PLindbergh31
Were all aware of the situation. It really has zero to do with logic. It's all ready been said that he is projected to be back in the middle of the first round. Obviously just a projection. But no reason to state that he won't be back. Because that is certainly not a fact.

I smell an Anderson SO - Pixote Andolini
not today. they will beat him. probably for 1 or maybe even 2 next period. they're an excellent 2nd period team. have a hard time seeing them coming out of this with a W today. maybe an OT or SO. can't give up anything else. captain obvious. |

Bob's had one that beat him 5 hole saved by Carle and another that Foligno would have buried had it not been bouncing. I'm not talking about Anderson standing on his head, I'm talking about Bob stepping it up. |

3 guys on this team you need to watch; Spezza, Karlsson, and Alfredsson.
Each had a point this period, Alfie with two.
Some great coaching right there. - mochoson
So that period is on the Coaches? I'd like to hear the explanation for that.

looked like it went off the near post and flipped over his pad. |

Of course. The third goal is all on Bobrovsky. His failed clear attempt lead to about as soft goal as you will see at the NHL level. |

So now does everyone see what I mean when I said we shoulda thrown the kitchen sink at Craig Anderson when Colorado scooped him up? - mochoson
He is one of the biggest reasons the Sens are fighting for a playoff position instead of lottery position.. |

He hasn't shown me that. He's a talented young goalie, that's not in question...the question is, is he talented enough to be a starter or is he another Niittymaki?
His numbers went south when he got the chance to run with the ball for a bit, and had to face some of the better teams in the league. He played 5 out of 8 games in early to mid February, and that is when his performance dropped. |

i know exactly what you're talking about. just making a point that if bob had stepped up, and the flyers had gotten a bounce their own way, the score could be reversed.
i don't think the last one would have gone in had carle not been there. it looked to be dead in its tracks to his left. still, that shouldn't have squeaked through. he's clearly rattled now. which doesn't bode well for tomorrow. |

2 periods to go. Flyers generated a bunch of quality chances. Tighten up the turnovers, and get after them for two periods. Game is still winnable. |

He didn't look stellar on the 1st goal, either. Not all his fault, by any stretch, but he's been lunging all game. He hasn't been square to shooters and he hasn't been moving very effectively. |

and if bryz were healthy and backing up today, he'd have gone in the net right then and there. but with chiuauauaua on the bench, and bob having to go tomorrow against the pigeons he's going to finish this game unless he gets hurt. |
