Didn't he go down with a knee injury before? If so was that the same knee? - JoeRussomanno
That I'm not sure of. |

How bout Simmonds throwing hands with Engelland a day after getting his face mangled by a puck.
This Simmonds is a fan favorite, and rightfully so. He's the perfect Flyer. |

It can be a hyperextended knee/bone bruise, both are very painful. Hopefully they are just erring on the side of caution. - PLindbergh31

Simmonds takes that puck to the net. He gets in the dirty areas. He is everything that we've missed the last few years. He's Knuble on speed. |

Couldn't put his weight on his leg. Seemed like ligament damage to me. |

Malkin showing his usual class with his shot to Giroux's head. Classless. - LordStanley88
Malkin gets away with a lot. Late hits, slashes, punches to the faces of players when he's frustrated and extra jabs after the whistle. The Camera catch him, how don't the refs? |

Holmgren can say day to day cause right now he is in the dark. I'm sure there is an MRI scheduled. While day to day sounds good its probably only because they don't know. Right now his kneecap is attached which is good news. |

There's damage, no doubt. It'll take an MRI to determine to what extent. Until then, I'll keep fingers crossed.

It be nice for the league to take action and suspend Vitale for that hit. |

Reminds me of a Rick Tocchet. Just a player with skill and serious snarl. We've been missing a lot of this in the Carter and Richards era. Speaking of Carter and Richards, I felt Briere could only benefit from those 2 moving on but it looks like Hartnell is the beneficiary of those trades as well as Simmonds. Obviously others have too but no players more so then Hartnell and Simmonds.
Grossmann looks to me like what Ryan Parent should have been but never came to be. Grossmann is a must re-sign. |
