That's why we need enforcers. Do you think he would try that poop if he was playing the broadstreet bullies? Of course not because he wouldn't have any teeth left if he did. Scru shanabans ! - maverickJ
No need for enforcers when you are the pens, the league protects them. But yes that is why enforcers and letting the players have their own justice was better. |

The Talbot-Coots-Rinaldo line has really been an effective checking line who can also score. Coots is just too good with his defensive positioning, he is just uncanny. - ravishingone

Coots and Talbot remind me of Otto and Podein, but I feel a little better offensively. |

Remember how Asham pulled the same stuff he did today but he was wearing the Orange and Black and he was a hero to Flyer fans? - Ben37
I don't remember him ever being a hero. But it really takes a tough guy to hit a player that is being held by the ref.

Crosby seems to have really poor balance. Wonder if that's a lingering effect of his head issues. |

I will just remind posters that if you want to whine about the Flyers, you go to the Pens thread. If you want to whine about the Pens, you come to the Flyers thread. If you do the opposite, you will be unable to post Thursday. |

Nope. Don't really remember him pounding on a non-fighter who didn't see it coming.
He had to go to the Pens to learn that. |

Malkin does that BS all the time and no one says a thing about it. He gets away with it and it is a joke. It would be worth it to see someone cross check in the mouth and knock out all of his teeth. - LJF
That would have to be one hell of a big stick!

What happened to ben37? Why did his comments get pulled?
No matter ben37 how does it feel to watch the Flyers beat your team with or without Crosby.
Throw the meatheads out there that's fine it didn't help the pens.
One last question ben37, how does it feel to watch the heart of the Pens be playing for the Flyers now? |

Its been a while we have had a player like that. +19 as of now consistently playing against the other team's top lines. |

Your ref seemed to erase them
It sucks watching the Penguins lose to anyone. It's more fun to watch them beat the Flyers in the playoffs.
My avatar is from when I burned my Talbot t-shirt. That should answer your last question. |

It will make for one hell of a series. Thanks for Max. Hated him as a Pen love him as a Flyer.
I don't think the Pens want the Flyers in the first round. |

Looks like that is what will happen so I really don't mind it. Yes you are what 4-1 against us but as you know the one that hartnell scored .09 left in coulda went either way. I think the series has been much closer then what the record shows.
You say the pens dont want the flyers but I think neither team wants the other in the first round. Whoever comes out of it would be beaten and bruised for round 2. |

4 things I know for certain after today's game:
-You guys would love what Bylsma and the Pens did at the end of the game if the situation was reversed. Anyone here that says otherwise is a hypocrite.
-For a group that prides itself on the toughness of its team, I see just as much if not more whining about what Penguins do from Flyers fans than the level of female doging about what the Flyers are doing to the Pens on our board.
-This group of Flyers is much better prepared to play the Pens than the last two teams lead by the gutless wonders Mike Richards and Jeff Carter. Maybe Talbot has transplanted some desire and determination into your bunch. (Remember how you all used to hate him?) I don't know what the outcome will be, but it will be a close series.
-The second that Bryz gives up a softie that gives a game to the Pens, the annual Philadelphia goaltending controversy will be in full swing. |

Flyers have won 4 of 5 games against the Pens this year, that being said I'm sure both teams would prefer to avoid each other in Round 1. Reasons simply being one team will be eliminated, and who knows what will be left of the team advancing. Flyers success against the Pens aside, I sure as hell would prefer to play Florida or Washington. Unfortunately that isn't going to happen, so the Flyers will have to play who is in front of them. |

To be honest I don't agree with your 1st point, the game as out of hand & I wouldn't care for it had the situations been reversed.
2nd point both sides as well as probably the rest of the league whines a lot, it seems to be common anymore.
Last point, we will always have a issue with our goalies, it is what it is.

I have no issues with Bylsma, or the Vitale hit on Briere. Penguins were down 3 goals in the final minute of the game, the outcome was decided. Laviolette should have realized this, and put Rinaldo, Talbot, and Simmonds on the ice to close the game. Having Briere out there didn't make much sense, and he got hit with a clean hard check.
Your last point I disagree with. Bobrovsky success against the Penguins aside, if Bryzgalov is healthy enough to play he will be the starter. |

Echoed my comment right above here sir. As exciting as it may be of a series the team to come out will be skating wounded. |

Probably, it's not needed in the game. This rivalry has done very well without that crap. |
