with the way the games have been it could be a sweep and also a close series. every game won by one, with fairly even play. - LJF
The last 2 times, I was very certain the Penguins were going to win. This time I'm not nearly as certain. With you guys it always comes down to goaltending....I'm not sold on Bryz and Bob, but they are definite upgrades from the likes of Biron.
I would hope that if he would ever have a clear, clean chance to get up close and personal with Crosby or Malkin along the boards, that he'd take the opportunity.

Can't watch now, but I assume this is when he came like seven thousand feet out of the net to cover the puck, realized he couldn't, and awarded Crosby a gift wrapped empty net on a silver platter?
really crappy attitude towards Flyers fans. He's so friggin full of himself - ukeman
Had the (dis)pleasure of listening to him from 2 -4, when my coworker went home. I did leave him on, to hear JR, but then turned him off abruptly thereafter.
Every Flyers fan that disagreed with him was replied with, "Seriously?" or was told what they were saying did not matter while he continued to say stuff like, "What is it with Flyers fans?"
Same old goading BS.
Even my coworker, who usually agrees with MM, said he was wrong.
The fact that he wanted to talk about a game where he only watched the last 5 - 10 minutes should have been enough to know he cannot talk about the whole game without seeing the whole game. The knee injury to Grossmann was finally brought up to his attention and he glossed over it.

only revenge i want is over chicago in the finals - FlyerMike18
Hear, hear! If we don't win the Cup this year, I think I'm going full nerd and leaving hockey behind. My heart can't take it. My nerves can't take it. And every year fellow hockey fans of all 30 teams become less and less admirable to me.

Remember this never was the Flyers year. This year I am just enjoying the ride and watching the young kids grow into this rivalry. If they can take down the Pens it would be fantastic for the team regardless with what happens afterwards. There is truly a championship caliber nucleus here.

I have nothing more to say than, "(frank) you, Mike Misanthrope."

Note that I am mostly joking. If they reel in their emotions, they can beat the Pens in the playoffs. I am just frustrated at the double standards in rulings from the NHL year to year (Stevens getting fined for doing what the Pens did yesterday a few years back, but Bylsma gets nothing and Granato gets a 1/4 of what Stevens was fined for), etc.
I just want to beat the Pens in round 1. Everything else will be gravy. Then, I will reopen my WOW account and get all my characters up to Level 20.

Yeah, I know. He reminds me of Clarkie with his hair and (no front) teeth. He was my first favorite Flyer. Now if they can find the second coming of Dave Poulin...
The Flyers have to keep these games chippy against the Pens. They have to guard against a huge powder keg on Saturday. I think it would be wise to back off a bit, just keep stoking the coals.
