Uh I actually agree with what you're saying except about the songs playing. When reading off points 1-4 I have to hear Metal Health by Quiet Riot playing, your 1-4 is actually pretty good but number 5 is where you lose your grip on the situation. Case and point would be exhibit A Flyers/Pens game nationally televised 2 weeks agoand it was basically a crosby-love fest. Exhibit B Crosby breaking multiple sticks slashing Flyers with no calls. Stop acting like Malkin and Crosby don't get some preferential treatment it's good for the league that they do I get it but at the end of the day it really isn't fair.

Sending messages for future encounters are as old as the game itself. If it wasn't for message boards and society becoming increasingly pussified this wouldn't even be a topic. This is what hockey is all about, how can people not enjoy this? Nobody got cheapshotted or hurt, let them play.

Much better.

Not only that but its hard for Lavi to take his guys off the ice when the Home team has last change. Don't think he was expected the 4th line out there when they didnt play for over 12mins.

The reason those guys hadn't been out there for 12 minutes was because prior to that it was a 1-2 goal game. Those guys came out for the faceoff after the empty netter. Since it was now a 3 goal game with just over a minute left and Sid malkin and neal had just been out for an extended shift there was no reason to leave them out there. So at that point like many teams do when the outcome is decided either way bylsma let the scrubs get some ice time. Then laviolette and the flyers on the ice got all worked up over a clean hit. And granted the penguins on ice were happy to oblige them but they weren't out there instigating.

Actually false, the same Vitale that laid Briere out with a clean open-ice hit, threw a knee-a-knee hit on Grossman, basically our defensive replacement for what Pronger could bring to the table. And then we saw him leave after the hit and not return to the game.

I think this whole US vs THEM thing seems stupid. Why do the fanbases constantly try to be right? Malkin punched Giroux in the head a couple times, Crosby went after Schenn, Schenn crosschecks Crosby from behind, Hartsy was swinging his stick around just as much as Crosby. Lavi lost it a little bit, granted having your 4th line out under 2 minutes in a huge divisional game when they're only down 2 isn't something you would do, UNLESS, you're trying to send a message, which Vitale did with a clean hit. And the Flyers are no wrong for going after him.
