On the plus side for the Canadiens, Scott Gomez, Mathieu Darche and Travis Moen participated in Monday's practice after all being out injured for more than three weeks.
FYI fellas. |

I don't mind Moen being back next year.
...as long as he doesn't play on the first 2 lines. |

Eric Engels: Damphousse and Roy as GM and Coach? My Take... - EricEngels
engels, i have a hard time believing that any of the "favoured" candidates will be chosen. roy? damphousse? why would the canadiens entrust what will be a monumental off season to a couple of neophytes? there are hard decisions to be made re: gomez, kaberle, less so but still big decisions about moen, bourque. contracts for price, subban. draft picks and what to do in free agency.
if molson is true to his word about a winning culture coming back to montreal, he and serge better not get it wrong. |

Darche and Moen might actually help I hope they are not back until the last game at best...
Oilers have 3 tough games...looks like the Habs will finish 28th. |

There is no quick fix Rob, they can bury Gomez in Hamilton but I expect Kaberle to be back, Moen will be resigned also. |

Don't remember where I saw it, and don't know if it's legit, but apparently you can't buyout a player that ended the season on the injured list.
Gomez better play in the next 3 games. |

well, there may not be a quick fix but if the habs are rebuilding, why sign moen? and if they are truly rebuilding, make a decision. desharnais or plekanec.
to a lesser extent, weber, diaz, bourque? where are tinordi, beaulieu, gallagher, leblanc? where are they next season?
gomez and kaberle are not the only decisions a new g.m./management team will have to make.
the candiadtes that have been floated so far, are not inspiring. |

Burying him is really the only way to go. If a trade can be made, fine. |

when a new management group comes in, they will gain instatnt credibility by undoing as many of the msesses of the past regime as possible.

So it's settled, Gomez will be buried this summer.
