Never a way to prove it but IMO every ref in every game in the past 20 years (except in Montreal of course where the give the home team freebies all the time) would have blown that play dead in under 4 seconds. Whether he saw the puck or not there was too much of a scrum. They always give the goalie the benefit on that play.

Guy sure knows how to negotiate a contract. I'm more and more convinced that there will be a GM taking care of the numbers/contracts and an assistant (read, former player) taking care of the on ice aspects.

Just like Yzerman / Brisebois. Holland keeping former Red Wings around as "advisors". I'm pretty sure Neely in Boston is very involved in everything hockey except contract talks.
