Current it's G. I grew up loving Lindros and LeClair too. I was stoked when I got a LeClair jersey (complete with the "A" on the front) for my 9th or 10th birthday. I even went to a game where he scored a hatty. I can say with total honesty that it nearly brought me to tears of joy. Greatest experience I've ever had with pro sports. - NickTheKid87

No, I just have a thing for showmanship In truth, my "87" is just for birth year.

Two completely different things. The hit on Briere was a hockey play.
Briere took a whack at Vitale right off the face-off. Go back and take a look. He's lucky he didn't get an elbow in the chops too. - rockychocbill
I agree. I blame Briere for not being aware. If that hit happens earlier in the game, it wouldn't garner as much discussion. My only point was that time remaining is clearly something the NHL sometimes considers a factor.
Yeah, I saw that whack/spear from Briere.
An elbow to the head? Not warranted. There's so much stickplay going on out there all the time that if all of it was met with an elbow the league would be full of AHLers and college kids.

My favorite Flyer from that era was Brind'amour, complete player and the organization should have never let him leave |

It's funny you said that because Tocchs is my all time favorite Flyer. - JoeRussomanno
My brothers too. Even though he won with us I will always consider Tocchet a Flyer.
My brother is/was also a big Tim Kerr fan. |

Briere put himself in a bad spot there by going for the shallow breakout curl out of the zone. He saw Vitale coming but it was like he still couldn't get out of the way fast enough. He's got a deep bruise on his right shoulder for sure.
I'm not saying the league doesn't take the time of game into consideration when fights are involved, but there is precious little they could do about what happened there is all. |

Totally his fault. He's saying he might not be ready for the playoffs because of a back bruise? Hey Danny, I know of 6.5 million reasons you need to suck it up and be ready to go next week |

I don't believe that injury report. I'm more of a detractor on Briere and even I believe that injury is worse than they are letting on. |

Honestly, I doubt he can even hold a stick right now. What he probably has is close to a shoulder separation. He bounced up real quick but Vitale caught him in a bad spot with that. I doubt he comes back at close 100% any time soon. |

No can do, sir. I've still got a few months of season ticket holder on this account, and I can't walk away from a commitment of that magnitude.
