They're fighting it badly...all I know is I'm pouring rum for Jobu so he can make Grossmann healthy - Jsaquella
I'll toast to that. Grossmann is very important to this team. The Flyers have struggled against NYR and Boston all season long. |

Another reason why I dont get too high or low. The playoffs are a different animal and the regular season means nada. |

With this team it's hard to get too down when they have a rough start. Tonight's been a poopshow, though. |

I can't tell if I'm watching the Eric Lindros Flyers against the Devils or the Flyers of today. It's insane. |

I guess Pronger skating in warmups didn't really inspire the D
Good to see him out there though. - aosplayo

would have been nice to see a solid game though. basics arent even there tonight, bad team D and trying the low % cross ice passes in Off. zone when they should be throwing pucks at the net with traffic headed that way. dont like the "this was expected after the emotional tilt on sunday" cuz that shouldnt matter, esp with playoffs around the corner where every game will be emotional. |

Very true. But with MTL you sort of had the feeling that the Flyers could use their size to wear MTL down in a series, and that if they played to a tough, physical game they'd prevail. I have no such feelings about this team vs. the Rags.
Honestly, as much as it pains me to admit it, the Rangers are better at every aspect of the game, or at least all the most important aspects, than the Flyers are right now. I don't think we have an answer for them, and I don't like our chances in a series. Doesn't mean I won't be cheering for them, or upset if they lose, but realistically, I don't think we have a shot against them in a series. |

They are a better team. But, at the same time, if the Flyers come out and play their game, they can skate with the Rangers. It's worrisome because the Rangers sure seem to be in their heads |

That is some horrific refereeing there. No excuse for the non-call on the Simmonds high stick. And the Schenn call was total BS. Schenn didn't even hit Staal. |

Yeah, that would be a very unwise move (obviously).
I thought the poster had witnessed it.

Schenn definitely hit Staal.
It wasn't much but it's pretty obvious he hit him. |

Hopefully these guys don't ref a single playoff game. How do you call that on Schenn and not call the high stick on Simmonds? That Ref was looking right at it! Just Criminal! |

Here's 1 positive. If we play them, it is likely to be later. Hopefully by then the injured come back and no one new is injured. I do think Flyers have greater offensive depth. The Rangers are a young team and could lose their composure if they do get behind. |

Doubt they will. Dan O'Rourke has worked just 13 playoff games in 13 years, and Brian Pochmara has yet to work a playoff game and his first game was in 2002 |

It just worries me that the Flyers keep falling behind during these games. When the playoffs come around they need to play much better and with a lead for a change. |

I agree the Flyers can do better than this. Just don't think they can win a series vs. the Rags.
That said, I never expected them to be doing this well this season. I know anything can happen once the playoffs start, but (especially if they re-sign Grossman, and somehow get Pronger back playing) I think next season is when they put it all together. |

This game is about to change. He is worried. The Flyers are playing much better this period. |
