If the NHL wants to know why it's officiating is poorly regarded, and why the average fan can't follow the "logic" of what is called (or not), it need only watch the tape of tonight's Flyers/Rangers game...
(frank)ing Pathetic.
No call on the stick to Simmonds' face while the Ref stares at the play.
A moment later, a phantom boarding call against Schenn.
Later still, 2 rangers with sticks up vs Talbot...Talbot gets the penalty.
And it certainly looked like too many men on the ice during the PP with Talbot in the box, but nothing was called.
And that's just 2 periods.
What a joke. - wolfhounds
It goes both ways, dude. Talbot does the Crosby on a love tap, Simmonds punches Callahan in the chest. If you include the ones not called on the Flyers than you have a valid point.

I'm not going to blame the referees for the futility. Not doing it. If you want to, that is your prerogative. - PLindbergh31
(frank). Listen, separate issues. I am not blaming the refs for anything, merely pointing out how bad they have been.
And the Rangers have to have more than 5 pps - they had 2 on Kubina, 1 on Bourdon, 1 on Talbot, 1 on Schenn...what else am I forgetting? |

Good news: Bos is currently tied with Pits with Johnson in net. We need the Bs to win. Not necessarily in reg either. Cant believe im saying this, but go bruins go! - Sabreshark
I'd rather the flyers get the 5 seed honestly. We are in the pens heads at the consul. God help us. Death, taxes, sixers losing to heat, flyers losing to rangers |

The tap to Callahan's chest should have been a penalty? You realize Callahan was trying to draw that penalty after coming in with an elbow at Simmonds, right?
Anyway, maybe you're right, but if everything like that is called, it's going to be a perpetual PP.

Since suffering the injury, Bryzgalov has allowed 9 goals, on 35 shots, granted not many have been of the soft variety, but his lateral movement looks extremely compromised to me. |

Last time Henrik had 5 GA was march 9th 2011 vs Anaheim. 73 starts ago... - Sabreshark
I stand corrected :-)
Speaking of stats, I have noticed Jagr gets pretty manhandled when he plays big teams like Boston or NYR. So I checked his stats against those 2. 7 G 0 goals 1 (pp)assist -4. |

Prediction... Rangers will have Gaborik on the ice in garbage time, and Rinaldo will crunch him with a huge check knocking him out for the playoffs. |

I actually think he has had a decent year. I just felt the need to knife him in the back.
And, I recognize at this stage of this game, that was a risk he needed to take. |

Is that really horrible? Neither of us has really had home ice advantage this year. I think the pressure of starting a playoff series at home would affect this team, Bryz, etc. As unfair as that may be. I like the idea of bunkering down on the road, because it won't take much to quiet the Consol Center given the recent history |

People talk about Crosby crosby crosby. The REAL MVP of that team is Letang. 3 A tonight. When he is out, they struggle. |
