Basically, I think the Flyers can beat these guys in the playoffs if it comes down to it. There's been worse matchups over the years that I've been more nervous about than the Rangers. I think the 0-6 record, while earned, is a bit of a fluke at the same time. Flyers have had large stretches during these games they've outplayed the Rangers.

Perhaps playing them in a series would fare differently than games spread throughout the season. the Rangers have earned their season sweep, no doubt about it, but I think it's doable (especially if it's later in the playoffs).

Or, y'know, they could lose horribly, the sky could fall, and "told you so's" could rain throughout the Philadelphia area. Whatever.

Part of the reason was terrible goaltending, which I think is pretty much in the past at this point. If the Bryz of March was playing some of those earlier games, they Flyers definitely get some points.

But the past is the past, and the Flyers didn't earn points in those games. I still think things can be different moving forward. If they do meet in the playoffs, and the Flyers win 1 of the first 2 games, this whole regular season record becomes absolutely meaningless.

I didn't say they shouldn't play the games. I just say I doubt the Flyers would beat the Rangers. Doesn't mean they can't.

The Rangers just seem like a more complete, better balanced team to me.
