is that right? didn't really notice. i was surprised that the punch to the side of his head/ear is what knocked him down.
speaking of injuries. it looked like CSP hurt his blocker hand on the flyers late 2nd period goal when he dove across - like it hit his palm or thumb, and he was wincing for a bit, didn't pick up his stick. i was hoping it broke his hand. he came back in the 3rd and looked fine. - hammarby31
Lundqvist said after the game he injured his hand. I'm sure he will be fine though.
That POS Vitale got blasted in the face with a Chara shot tonight. And Boychuk's knee exploded, I would be shocked if he was ready to play at the beginning of next season. It was a gruesome injury. |

Good points. I agree with your assessments. Bryzgalov hasn't played well in the last two games since the injury, he's not allowing soft goals, but it looks like he's laboring to me. I thought the goaltending wouldn't be a concern entering the playoffs, of course a fluke injury in warmups even muddies those waters.
If Grossmann and Briere return, will they be healthy to contribute? And as of today JVR was still in a boot, I don't think he's anywhere near close to returning. They actually said on the Rags broadcast that Meszaros was way ahead of schedule and he was planning on skating this weekend. - PLindbergh31
bryz looked fine early, but didn't look like he was moving well laterally on the 2nd and 3rd goals. a little slow maybe. i admit i'm concerned about him now.
hard to say with grossmann/briere. we'll jsut have to wait and see.
hadn't heard anything about meszaros. that's great news. |

Yeah. If this group was relatively healthy I would think a good run was in the offing, the injuries have tempered my expectations. That's just a realistic way of looking at it. It all started with Pronger, like that wasn't enough, and one injury after the next piled up after that. I understand injuries occur in a sport like hockey, but every year the Flyers are just besieged by severe injuries. I really don't comprehend why this happens every year. |

I just saw a Visa NHL commercial where a Jets fan laid to rest his foam finger and a Pens and Flyers fan hugged each other.

My Bruins friend was texting me female doging about it, I told him to (frank) off.
Flyers fans don't want to hear about other teams injuries. Screw that. |

I was hoping the Jets made the playoffs, I wanted to see that place go bananas, but they are just so bad on the road. |

simmonds took another puck up high, in the 3rd on a pp. he continued, so i guess it wasn't bad, but still. give me a (frank)ing break already. |

He did get good flex on that shot, no doubt. |

He's lucky it was a wrister. - wolfhounds
If it was a Chara slap shot, it would have maimed him. I don't want to see that. A good shot to the chops he had coming to him. |

i hate both teams. a lot. all i'd care about are the injuries, not who advances. either way, if the flyers got through and had the chance to play them, i'd be thrilled. |

Simmonds was ok. It clipped his visor. If he wasn't wearing one tonight, could have been bad.

Agreed. A slapshot could have literally killed him. No blood, he'll probably just have a nice headache for a day or two.

wouldn't bother me a bit. his knee on knee with grossmann was intentional. live by the sword, die by whatever means comes to you, i don't give a (frank). scott stevens getting a puck to the side of the head and retiring because of a concussion was great. (frank) you, stevens. |
