Btw I'm sure if it were up to holler and lava. Timonen would not play in these last two games. I hope he is a scratch tonight. I'm sure snider and most fans really want that home ice. I think the team wants to start in Pittsburgh. I don't go to playoff games so I want them on the road too. Bottom line is hold kimmo out

I love the passion Laviolette has shown this year. He is a very good coach. I question some of his in game moves, but that would be the case with any coach.
Still racking my brain trying to figure out what the hell Briere was doing on the ice with a 6-3 lead in Pittsburgh with a powder keg brewing. - PLindbergh31
I think he's the perfect coach for this team. I also question some of his in game decisions, but most of the time he gets the job done. It was probably nice for him to get a lot of new faces this year to really mold them into he team he wanted.

I remember before there seemed to be discussions that his act wears thin on players. But the stuff I saw during 24/7 and other little tidbits show me that, while he is a demanding coach, he really cares about his players on a hockey and a personal level. Just little stuff. Talking to Harts and Giroux during skates. When Read got leveled he asks if he is ok, then says "that was awesome!"

I'd much rather see the Sabres get in over Washington so what I am hoping to see is an OT win for the Flyers tonight giving Buffalo one point and then win their last game and have Florida and the Rangers beat Washington.

I want them to play well over the next two games, regardless of winning or losing. I also don't give a rat's ass about seeding. Just avoid anymore injuries before the playoffs.
People seem worried about Pittsburgh in the first round, but I mean, what good is beating Florida? It's not likely that you will face Carolina or Winnipeg in round two. You're going to have to beat New York, Boston or Pittsburgh(likely two of the three) to get out of the east.
I think that the Flyers can beat any team in the East. I won't be any happier if they beat a supposedly weak team and get steamrolled by NY in round two. - Jsaquella
I agree that they will have to beat the better of the East teams one way or another but I'd sooner see them get a good first round matchup much like 2010 when they beat the Devils. but I definitely don't want them to get that good first round matchup by losing their last 2 games and going into the playoffs on a 3 game skid

There really is no such thing as a fan not having any questioning of a Coaches decisions through the course of an 82 game Season. I for one am going to dwell on the positives. Constantly moaning about the injuries doesn't accomplish anything. Just to be clear, I know you aren't doing that.
Sorry I wasn't here to protect the board from those Rangers fans... Had a 1 day trip to Banama.., I just sat in the sun and played in the Banpersand drinking Banana Daquries, then hopped a quick flight on BanAM and here I am... Ready to bang again.

There are definitely way more positives with Laviolette than negatives, so it's not hard to focus on the good things.
The sixers scored 22 pts in the 2nd half against the raptors last night. Wtf is wrong with that team. How can they look so good early on the season, distributing the ball. Everyone had their roles. How could it turn so bad so g
Fast.

I'm semi grateful for the injuries this year. It has given us a real good look at our depth in our orginization, and it looks a lot better then I thought it did. The only injury that I think has really cost us is Pronger, because we had to use our plethoria of picks to get Grossmann and Kubina.... Dont get me worng I like them, but I dont think with a healthy Pronger we would have traded for them.
Look at all the pleasent suprises from this year... Bourdon, Manning, Sestito, Zulnerczyk, Rinaldo, Wellwood.... I'm leaving Schenn, Read, and Couturier off the list because I think they would have been on the team regardless. It's just great.
