I can tell you, from somewhat recent experience, that a division title doesn't assure postseason success.

I can't even remember who won the division before last season... Not that its totally irrelevant, but doesn't mean a whole lot once game 1 of the playoffs start.

It really doesn't mean much. But to clarify, the Flyers won the division title (after squandering their hold on the conference), only to but utterly annihilated by the Bruins in the second round.
EDIT: Err, sorry, misread. I can't remember either. A fleeting glory, it is.
Keep overlooking us, it'll make a lot more fun in here when the Flyers knock you out! - cranford93
Agreed they looked real passionate tonight. Atleast Stephan knows his team has his back. Besides if Crosby is healthy all year you're the 4th seed and everyone knows it.
hey aren't you guys that team that was founded in 1926 yet you only have 4 cups?

Because your band wagon I wouldn't expect you to anything about NHL history, before expansion this league didn't make any sense, you know pre tank year.

id be more embarrassed of an 8th seed team knocking out a 1st seed team - drummer829
I never in a million years thought I'd root for the Caps, but I'm really hoping they beat the Rags. I think Neuvorth (spelling) went down with an injury tonight however.
