I see no reason to pay tribute to the founders of the game anymore. While we're at it let's change the name of the Stanley Cup to Super Cup.

My suggestion is to let the media continue to nominate the candidatesn for the awards involving votes. But, leave the final voting for the overall winner to the players who have been previously nominated. This is one way you could protect the integrity of the process. The players would not allow it to become merely a popularity contest. |

Renaming the awards is the most dumbest thing you have ever posted here... and that says alot! The beauty of the game is it's long rich history and all you want to do is erase it? Changing the Calder cup to the Teemu Selanne cup?? What happens when somebody beats his record... gonna rename it again?... and again??
