Tremendous news on Briere and Grossmann, I'm thrilled and relieved. - ravishingone
i'm thrilled too, but just because they're practicing doesn't mean they're healthy. |

Can you imagine losing the Stanley Cup in a game 7 shootout?
Just the thought of that makes me sick. - canadianpenfan
If the NHL ever institutes SO's to settle playoff games, I'm done with the sport.

I'm paraphrasing:
The shootout has become an integral part of the game..blah blah blah...When they are out doing shows or remotes the entire place usually stops to watch the shootouts. It would add excitement..yadda yadda yadda.
We all stop to see violent car accidents and their aftermath as well, doesn't make it a good thing ya dumkoffs. |

Impressive feat by Richie Ashburn
But August 17th was not quite a day he had dreamed of. In the second game of a four-game series against the New York Giants, (which the Phillies won, 3-1), Richie fouled twice into the stands, striking spectator Alice Roth. Alice was married to Philadelphia Bulletin Sports Editor Earl Roth. The first errant ball broke her nose; the second struck her as she was being carried out of the stands on a stretcher. Alice was a good sport and she and Richie remained friends for many years. |

simmonds on the fourth line? i can't even remember who he's been playing with recently. wellwood and read? - hammarby31
Can you really call any of those lines 2-4? It more like we have the G line as a number 1 line and roll out the other 3 based on match-ups. |

Couldn't agree more Skip. Although I would probably still watch I would pout alot. There's no way they would/could ever do that. Those 2 should be fired immediately for even bringing it up. They can take Milbury with them. |

I'm surprised they've disbanded the 10-48-17 line. I guess they could always go back to it |

What do you guys think...
Match up the Couturier line against Malkin, the Grossmann-Coburn Pairing against Crosby, and free float the other lines out there inbetween? You know Staal line will match with Giroux... So you will see a lot of Briere line and Read line agaisnt Crosby line and Asham line...
I dont mind this so much... |

I'm liking those lines!! 3 scoring lines and a shut down line! Man, once we get JVR and Mesz back......can't wait for Wednesday! |
