So you're all plind now. Great. Don't bother to follow sports because your team is unlikely to win a championship this year. (Or, statistically speaking, any year.) - bodiva88
Probably won't watch Empire Strikes Back anymore because the good guys don't win at the end. Skip right to the Ewok teddy bear picnic in Return of the Jedi... |

If you're talking about Grossmann all I have to ask is why should we be? He had an injury to one and had an opposing player initiatate knee on knee contact which resulted in him missing only two weeks. - JoeRussomanno
I was under the impression he has had several knee problems, and always wears a brace on 1 knee... I dunno, just asking. I dont mind the contact at all. After the way he has been playing, he probally could have got more on the open market... But does this spell the end for Carle, or are they going to move another defenseman? |

If the phillies go to the world series and lose every year I'd be ok with that so not sure what the point is here. |

Let them learn how to play small ball correctly, then when Chase and Howard come back, as long as they are .500, they will be all the better. Imagine actually not depending on home-runs to win games... Or having people on base with Howard up... or the bottom of your order producing... - RooNosHockey
i don't see howard doing much besides striking out in clutch situations |

I don't know what it means for Carle because Grossmann is a completely different type of dman. I think the Flyers want to see how free agency goes. Can they land a better dman or not and if so what is the cost. |

I was at that game and as much as mario was the "enemy", it was great to see the fans act like that. - nastyflyergirl
Yes, we all learned that Flyer fans are human after all. Seriously, it was a very classy gesture, just as they gave him a standing "O" when he came back from cancer. I still get choked up a bit when I think about that night.
An aside: Is that a young Al Morganti I see going over to interview Mario at the end of the Clip? |

Better than the following two years (and 28 other teams). If they get that far this season, I'll be impressed. - BulliesPhan87
they have one of the best pitching rotations in the league they should be there |

I loved ROTJ! The song at the end gives me goosebumps... and I actually liked that they put Anakin from the prequels in ending...
And without ROTJ there would be no Warwick Davis.. The best little person actor ever... |

No doubt about the pitching, but I just don't see them being better than last season as a team. |

The innocent lives lost that you mention were collateral damage to stop a much more menacing evil. No different than soldiers fighting and dying to end evil regimes. |

Do they yell at the pizza man when he brings them what they ordered, but they know pizza gives them heartburn?

i can show short term disgust while enjoying the team for the long term |

I actually had a pizza delivery driver yell at me because he thought my house was too far away from the pizza place. It takes approximately 8 minutes to drive there from my house. I appropriately said "there goes the 5 dollar tip you were about to get expletive expletive" and slammed the door |
