yea the wussification of sports is sickening
how are we supposed to teach our kids to be tough so they don't get walked all over when they grow up? - 2Real
I'm just surprised about everyone saying how astonshed they have been hearing about all of this.
this stuff happens. you cannot tell me that players target one another. So now when it becomes public...
Oh my that happens...he should never coach again....
it happens it's reality...it's wrong but it happens.
here is the best part...
it's still going to happen but it's going to be hidden a lot more... |

why is this sickening? I really don't get it.
this has been happening since sports have been around. You go after a weakness.
the biggest thing is that this has now come to the forefront but to think this never occurs and this is a new concept is crazy
next time kick out all the camera people because we all know there will be a next time.
Just win baby - phi1671
So, by this line of thinking you are okay with Vitale taking out Grossmann's knee with an illegal hit, because he was simply trying to win. Got it. Makes perfect sense.

No not at all. I'm glad the Flyers are playing the Pens and am looking forward to a great series. - MJL
Me too. I'd like a weaker team but I have seen the Flyers knocked out of the playoffs by inferior teams before. So if we're gonna go out in the first round, rather it be a team that I know is better. Yes they are a better team but it doesn't mean they will win the series either. |

you are nuts
can you imagine if on 24/7 lavy was going off about targeting Sid's head? wouldve made me (frank)ing sick.
you can say hit hard and all, but to talk about taking out specific body parts is terrible, imo |

He sprained an MCL and missed 10 games previously. He had a knee on knee collision that resulted in a minor injury. I don't see any long term damage or any chronic issues in his past.

problem with the star wars movies is they're also heavily biased to the rebels point of view
if lucas is going to redo movies do at least one in the point of view of the empire |

I believe I read that the knee that was hit by Vitale was not the same knee that was hurt before. |

Jeremiah Trotter was interviewed and said it is a regular practice in the NHL. The biggest issue with the Saints is that they lied about it, and also continued to do it when they were told to stop. - MJL

Oh, I don't know, I don't see anything wrong with "he becomes human when we take out that outside ACL". Seems perfectly within the bounds of fairness and good hard football. If he hadn't been so "pussified" by his American way of life he wouldn't even need that ACL to play football. 'Effing wimp. No wonder they lost to the Giants. Eli cut his own ACL's just to show how tough he was. Now that's a man right there folks...

I'd be happy if there was never another Star Wars movie. |
