i don't understand why he's such a giant ahole, and he ALWAYS pokes from the negative, looking for controversy angle. don't the flyers have some control here? they obviously don't want their players sparring with the media.
if i'm bryz, i do not answer a single question he asks. - hammarby31
I gotta think CSN gives him "assignments" maybe not. I don't like how they are pestering the guy either. I know they are journalists and gotta ask questions but no, they do not have to take a negative angle especially working for a local outlet. IMO anyway. |

I just dont want them to get all panicky. I could see this happening very easily.
Schenn seems to be amping it up a bit Id like to see if he could help out Danny. - flyer_nutter
This series is going to rely on goaltending and defense. Have to be smart and not spend time in the box because you dont want to give the Pens a lot of PP's. |

And as always, who steps up and ramps up their game. If Briere and Giroux don't produce, it will be hard for the Flyers to win the Series.

So back to Flyers for a second...
A couple of games ago Lavi split up Jagr and Giroux and it seemed to work, the players were invigorated.
Schenn did a great job between Harts and Jagr,
and Giroux looked very good with Voracek.
Sometimes Jagr and Giroux get too fancy.
I guess they will go back to G with Jagr and Harts,
but I wouldn't be shocked if Lavi changes things up if they aren't scoring. - Marc D
I forget what specific game that was, but that was to get a better matchup and make Giroux harder to check.

I think Giroux will play well but I question his ability to dominate this series. The Pens will do everything possible to shut him down. I agree that the Flyers will need other players to step up and produce points. |

I don't think they need him to dominate. They just need him to continue to do what he did during the Season.

I dont disagree. I just hope the other players can contribute during this series. Would love to see Jake, Read, Simmonds and Schenn come up big in this series.
Couturier will have his hands full with the responsibility of covering Malkin. The kid gets the biggest responsibility of everyone. Love it. |

What we've seen from Couturier this Season has been simply amazing. It just doesn't happen. 19 year old kids don't come from Juniors and play as well in a checking role as he has. It just doesn't happen. It speaks volumes of the unbelievable hockey sense that the kid has. And when the offense catches up to the defense. Look out. Regardless of how he fares in the playoffs.

if you listen to a lot of the little talk they describe the fights in detail
rob has won a number of battles
rob stark isn't the main focus of the story line there are 5-6ish kings fighting for power right now
i'm more interested in what mance raydar is doing up in the north - 2Real

Remember back in October when there was uncertainty he'd be on the team past that first handful of games? Couldn't have hoped for the decision made to turn out better than it has. |

It is amazing how well the kid has played this year. I think he is going to give Malkin fits out on the ice in this series. I also like how he doesnt back down when asked to take on the responsibility but takes the challenge on. 19 year old kid with the makeup of a season vet. The Flyers stole this kid in the draft. |

What a kind, courteous, and talented fellow he must be, and I'm sure he lacks all modesty when referring to himself in the third person. |

One of the reasons all the analysts are picking the Pens to win is the Flyers have a large number of rookies in key roles.
And the playoffs can be very tough on rookies.
But the Flyers rookis have come up big all season.
It will be interesting to see how they handle the extra pressure. |

The first pp unit looked a bit lost in the last game without Giroux.
He is the main cog for that group. |

Their best shot at winning the series depends on Bryz coming through.
Hopefully he is in good form.
Having Grossmann back should help the goalie alot. |
