Funny how he came here completely unknown and is now loved by all! Similar to Ville Leino when we acquired him at the deadline... the reaction to both players being acquired was... WHO? two months later both are loved - Flyers2821
He just "fits" ya know? It was the same with Mezaros too. 2 guys who are good in their roles when not asked to do too much or something they're not suited for. The D is set up that way perfectly, though I don't think Kubina has felt comfortable for whatever reason, perhaps the injury set him back some. |

Kubina better wake the hell up because the Flyers are going to need the vet to play solid hockey in this series. Would also like to see him get some more PP time at the point, he has a nice shot and he's right handed. |

14 of the 15 who picked the Devils to beat the Panthers will look like morons when the Panthers destroy them. Thank god the Flyers aren't playing the Panthers I would have been terrified of that series. Things have broken perfectly for the Flyers to have a long playoff run. - PLindbergh31

With Briere back in the fold, I love both of our PP units. I wouldn't mess with them. |

Saw on another board they were killing Jordan Staal. It may be me, but he seems to play very well against the Flyers, him and TK. Malkin and Crosby can and likely will get theirs, it's the secondary guys like Staal, Kennedy, Letang, and Neal that you gotta limit. Letang is limited greatly by staying out of the box! |

I know it's tough to accomplish in Pitt but are we going to see Couturier up against the Malkin line this series? Think Lavy continues that trend? |

I think so yes. He's probably our best checking center and that's saying a lot. |

Randy Miller is an idiot for asking that question. I agree with Bryz dont ask a stupid ass question when the series hasnt even started. Why think negative all the time. Just stupid. - stveshdy
Randy Miller, like his idol Tim Panaccio, is a Pittsburgh native. |

Possibly. I mentioned it before but maybe my memory is wrong hopefully some of the other posters who remember him can help me out but Couturier reminds me of a young Mark Messier. |

I'm not hating on Kubina at all. I think he has the ability to play well and provide this team with a veteran presence. They need his right handed shot from the point. He also can be very good in his own end and matchup against bigger forwards. |

Not completely. His surname is close to my own. I also had the fortune of having my NHL 12 Be a Pro d-man drafted by the Stars. Awesome hearing Gary Thorne calling the game: "Grossman. To Grossman. Back to Grossman." (spelling reflects spelling in the game, which should be fixed in NHL 13 when Hartnell is on the cover) |

Grossmann looks like he belongs in the UFC or like the owner of a Junk Yard. He just looks MEAN. Almost makes you wish he had slightly more snarl to his game, cause a mean look from his face could kill... - RooNosHockey

He rounds out the triumvirate of my favorite Flyers, Hartnell, Bryz, and Grossmann. Told someone that not too long ago and they thought I was nuts for actually admitting Bryz to be a fav. Even after his performances in March. |

I wonder if briere was injured from the hit in Pitt or if they were just resting him for the final week for other nagging injuries.
Also, did anyone see Kubina skating as the 7th dman today? Wonder if he's still banged up or just simply there as a result of his play recently. |

Heh. I use Petr Puck's site, though this year I didn't have the time to do them, so I left them as is except for the Flyers. I mostly play HUT & BAP anyway. In past years, when I've played Be a GM, I've done the slogging that is correcting the rosters. |

Yea me too. Back in the day I had ESPN Hockeynight and would track stats on my own since it was before games did that stuff. Sigh. |
