I talked to the nameless guy from 1969 on a Leafs thread once. Told him I'd ask for his autograph, but it'd probably have 'divide by zero' type consequences. - BulliesPhan87
Seriously. After the NHL cured his concussion, fused his broken neck bones, and quickly reprogrammed him to skate and score like he used to, they have now assigned pro-Pittsburgh referees to the series to ensure a Penguins series win. I bet they put some kind of anti-goalie pad flubber on the puck to make it avoid being stopped by Bryz. Fleury will have the antidote on his pads, natch. - Flyskippy
Lol, I'm just teasing you, but the site did seam to go haywire for a few minutes and it ate my post.
The gist of it was that this is clearly the best Flyers team to line up against the Pens since the Crosby era started. I don't know that the previous incarnations led by Richards, Carter, Biron et. all really believed that they could beat the Pens. I think this group does and it is worriesome. I also think this Flyers team has the best shot of any of the eastern conf clubs of knocking the Pens out simply because of the way the teams match up (sorry Rangers, but you don't have the scoring to keep up). Its a shame this couldn't be the conference finals matchup. - Emperor Filonius
Ive been saying this all along. This potentially could be the most exciting matchup of the entire playoffs.
How was that a bad hit? He gets him square in his chest and uses his arms to push... Clean hit in my book. Someone post the video with Malkin swinging his elbow at giroux head and we will compair which is worse....
I just don't appreciate Skip giving out our secrets. Good thing he didn't mention the underground command center under the rink where people control players movements with heat censored triggers.
So Kubina skated with Shelley two days in a row at practice? I mentioned a few days back that he has looked a shadow of his self before the injury but I am still very surprised.
Also, the right hand shot from the point on the 2nd pp unit turned out to be a non-issue with #13.

The Jean-Claude Van Damme Memorial "Van Damme It" Control Center? I blog about that on the site where I talk about the Illuminati and Nephilim. That goes way beyond hockey. Dur.

I cant stop think about just how much i hate your team.
If you say so. I prefer to think sports are fair, it makes it more enjoyable. You should try it. - canadianpenfan
I'm going to enjoy it either way -- but nothing is fair. and I'm sure as you typed that, you have to think of when Cooke or Staal get called for a phantom penalty or whatever, you don't get upset and question things. I'm sure both teams are going to go through there problems with the refs.
Nope.... hate making predictions. The only one I put any stock in is that every playoff series takes on its own personality and it's impossible to predict beforehand. All you can do is make an "on paper" or "gut feeling" prediction and mine is no better than anyone else's.

I lurk. It's helpful skipping the "our team is pathetic, but I can't stop posting about it" BS. Plus, work is cutting down on internet usage. So, I try to lurk from my phone, but this site is MUCH slower than Twitter on the phone. HB needs a mobile version. - Flyskippy

I accept Cooke is going to get called for penalties others wouldn't be called for yes. He's earned that reputation unfortunately.
The difference is when he or anyone else gets called and I don't agree with it, I look at is as a bad call, not an elaborate scheme thought up by the NHL to help the other team win.

My prayer is that I will never have to read your having written the words "failed clears" like you had to in 2008. That frustrated me more than anything that year. 2009 was poor execution in that had the Flyers just shown more poise, they could have gone to the SCF that year.
