So anyone who doesnt bash Burke is an apologist? Try to stay on your horse, ride into the sunset. You're a hero in not only books, but the hearts of mankind. - Gunslinger
That's the sad part with some of these guys....they're so emotional, that they allow their emotions to narrow their view on 'WE DIDN'T MAKE THE PLAYOFFS'....
All of a sudden, nothing else matters, no other good things that have been done over 4 years matters....
That's why I called it a witch hunt yesterday. |

Duh.
We're Burke apologists
Why like Gardie when you can hate Komi? Who needs 30-40 goal scorer when you can get rid of Armstrong! |

I don't even know what that means. Try not to be so obtuse, wouldja? No, the apologists are those who defend the indefensible: Burke's record as GM here after four years. |

Whilst I'm thinking of it, anybody who cares should join my "hockeybuzz leafs fans" league on the CBC fantasy draft; let's see if UG really does know his poop |

Ok...let's take a look at his record...
But before we do, let's DEFINE record....
Are we talking about playoffs ONLY?
And/Or
Are we talking about other factors that have been inputs to building a successful franchise? |

Why don't you enlighten me then, and run through our prospects and project what kind of NHL players you expect them to be? |

Of course not. Only you can master the ways of the Peca and rule the Mitchell universe all while writting the constitution of Pogge and Earl nations. |

24th, 29th, 22nd, 26th. Two of those drafts he didn't have his own draft picks.
Amazing record.

See... I can say something nice about him.
Now Fire the guy! |

And dream eyes.
The guy representing the Habs looked confused and like he wanted to cry. Steve Tambs blew like 5 loads, and that was before the Oilers even won the lottery. |

Yeah, and he played nice and tied the knot for his new owners. A bit of a sourpuss, though, wasn't he. |

I'm not speculating like you are...that's the point! All we can really go off of is potential...
do we have potential top six forward prospects? YES
do we have potential top 4 dmen prospects? YES
do we have potential talent for a #1 goalie? YES
The fact that the 'potential' is there is virtually undeniable. Whether that potential is actually realized is anyones guess....but according to you....they're already middling...Calder Cup contenders....made up of middling prospects...

This is the first time burke is drafting top 5 (meaning keeping his own picks).. Even though the leafs finished in the bottom 10 for all 4 years I believe?... Pathetic |

Detail for him the Mitchell, Pogge, Earl, Wellwood, Tlusty, Peca plan that will kill the Pens and Bruins to deathzzzzz. |

Why don't you get a little more specific. Run down some of these prospects, would you?
