I don't know this team needs an attitude adjustment. That was not a good period and really did not have any sustained pressure in the pens zone.
the pens controlled the play the whole period.

Those are this season's chronic problems that have gone unfixed.

Pretty hard to win 16 playoff games like that.

Well the good news is they are in better shape after the first period tonight. But goals in the last minute of periods are crushers, it seems like the Flyers give up more than anyone.

i think bill posted a stat about this awhile back, and the flyers were at the top of the pack for last season. or maybe it was this year. either way, it happens way too often with this group.

i get that the pens come out flying. the flyers have plenty of jets and grit on their end too. i don't understand why they can't match it. they just get caught up in it. i will say they weathered the storm and played a pretty good final 9:30. and i'll bet you a million bucks the roles are not reversed on sunday. the pens will be less aggressive, and the flyers will do nothing with it. the first period will probably end 0-0 or maybe a 1 goal differential either way.

Brutal...not many players realize this because they all want to be a hero...don't block the goalie ...would have been a routine save for Bryz

he's a dope. he didn't have much chance on any of the 3. the guys in front of him might want to not screen him, and not give them clean point blank chances with speed. he made 2 huge saves. this game could really be over if not for him.

I hear you, even if they don't come back tonight, a split was about the best you could ask for heading into the first 2 games in Pittsburgh. I know when you win the first game you want to be greedy and get game 2, but Pittsburgh is a very good team with more skill than any team in the NHL.
