Only one missed call. Apparently it is OK when the same lousy official wipes out an icing, which results in a Pens goal. - Lexington Flyer
poop happens bro. Brierre's goal was 1 of 4 that beat us. I'm more concerned with the other 3. At least they blew calls on both sides or we would probably be listening to fans saying how the NHL wants the Pens to win and the entire conspiracy theory |

I didn't notice that on Wednesday, but just looked at the ice time, and Asham didn't have a shift in the 3rd, while Vitale had 2 and Adams had 4 shifts.
So maybe Tangradi solves all of our problems on the powerplay, lol...
But I guess it would be between Tangradi & Park, who do you put in? - rival22
i think tangradi would help with the banging, but now isnt the time to see if hes developed. park has actually been fairly solid for what he is. id give him the nod |

But the NHL does want the Pens to win. They just did that to not make it obvious. Can't you see it?! |

Yeah...why are the Flyer fans complaining about anything right now, they won...didn't they?
I would not be surprised...as much as each game is new...to see the Flyers momentum from game 1 carry over into the early part of Game 2. I can quite easily see the Pens playing well yet being down by a goal or two halfway through the game.
A comeback win might be just what the doctor ordered. |

the 19 year old shut em down... wonder how long that can last - Flyers2821
its not entirely coots, but my god is that kid special. he is going to be a cornerstone for you guys. eventually hes gonna have like 25 goal potential easily and be one of the top 3 defensive forwards in the game. very jealous you guys have him. and got him essentially for carter no less! |

Icing/offsides. Both were blown calls. They equaled out. It was just wrong the way the league had to apologize to the Pens for a missed call, when calls get missed all the time, and there was one in that game.
Justify it how you will. Coburn was already past the linesman before he waived off icing, even if you can somehow justify why the icing was waived off, you cant justify that it was late, and the players involved could not see the call. - RooNosHockey
It was still waived off early enough, teammates the bench and the goalie all should have been letting him know.
If you have played any hockey at all you would be well aware of this. |

I agree with this.
I also think the momentum of that big game 1 comeback carries over for the Flyers, and they get the first goal ... and maybe even take a 3 - 1 lead at some point. But, likewise, I can easily see the Pens coming back to tie it ... and both Pen fans and Flyer fans having heart attacks as we head into another OT.

I was upset when you guys drafted Tangradi. The first realy Philly kid to be drafted high in the NHL and the Pens had to pick him. I'm curious what you guys think of him. Has he shown flashes of being much? |

Pit didn't draft him. He came via trade with the Ducks (Whitney for Kunitz and Tangradi)
He's a career 3rd/4th liner at best. Nothing wrong with that; just reality. |

We didn't draft him, we got him with Kunitz in the Whitney trade. |

We didn't draft him, picked him up from Anaheim in the Kunitz trade.
I don't think he will be a difference maker for the Penguins, just my opinion. |

Only if he can mix a good Manhattan or a Sidecar will he be a difference maker. |

I get you man but the thing presented itself as "Pennsylvania Cold War" which seems kind of unbiased, but then it unfolded as if the Germans were blitzing France. The creator of the vid should have just called it "Penguins whoopin' Flyer ass." |

Oh ok, I feel you. I'll let it slide. I never prefaced it as being non biased though. |
