Wow. Carkner has a supplemental discipline hearing this morning because Brian Boyle stood there like half a puss, and got his face bashed in.
Shanahan is embarrassing himself. - PLindbergh31

It's been so long since they have played with a lead, I'm worried they might not know what to do. Seriously, they have to get out of the box with some quicker starts, rallying from multiple goal deficits takes a ton of energy. - PLindbergh31
I agree. Would like to see 60 mins of solid hockey. Bryzgalov is going to be key again in todays game. |

Don't be jealous that Hennig ate Madano's lunch here. It's the way he rolled. You should see him shoot horseshoes, bowl, and play ping pong. Absolutely perfect! - PLindbergh31

They looked pretty good once they finally got the lead in game 2. I'm pretty confident they'll play well if they do score first. Can Pitt tie the game anyways? Sure, they have a lot of talent. But if the Flyers score first, I don't expect the barn burning pace to keep up |

I just finished watching it. Fantastic. Loved every second of it. I guess Alfie has a concussion, that's not good for the Sens chances though. |

Hopefully the Flyers dont give a goal up within 15 secs this game. I'm expecting the crowd to be wild. Flyers have to be smart and not take an early penalty because their all juiced up. - stveshdy
i'm concerned if the get jumped on early, they'll shut down with the crowd booing/being silent. it's happened many times before in their own building. in the end, they just need to win, but it would be a good idea not to get behind again. especially early. |

Good point, they played fairly well once they got the 6-5 lead, one scary moment was the Carle turnover, but Bryzgalov made a big save to preserve the lead. |

that game was ridiculous. saw a tweet posted last night on the board about CSP and Torts getting into an altercation. don't know when/where or even if true. if it is, i would assume it was after the game. i'm so happy the sens are giving the rangers all they can handle, and that it's turned nasty very quickly. |

I love the fact that the Rangers got beat yesterday. I'm hoping Ottawa beats the snot out of them. |

(frank) Torts. I hope they get buried. Hagelin is going to get suspended. That hurts them, but if Alfie is out it still benefits the Rags.
Anderson played a solid game last night, the glove save on Callahan in close was a beauty. |

this is the worst thing i have ever seen. - hammarby31
In real life, the late Curt Hennig did play some hockey while growing up in Minnesota and was a good young hockey player (forward) but not as good as he was in basketball, football, swimming and freestyle wrestling. At any rate, he was a tremendous natural athlete, which was the origin of the Mr. Perfect gimmick.
It's obvious he never played goaltender in his life, however.

Growing up in Robbinsville, MN he had to play hockey.
The Perfect vignettes were some of my favorite things the old WWF produced, always got a big kick out them. |

Yup, and to add insult to injury Neil fell on his head after he scored the GWG. Just an all around fantastic night at MSG. |

In the early 1980s, he was in the WWF as a young JTS (jobber to the stars; AKA guy who "puts up a good fight but loses"). He was a babyface (good guy).
In the mid-1980s, he became a headliner in the dying AWA -- won their version of the world championship -- and became a heel (bad guy).
He returned to the WWF in around 1990 as the Mr. Perfect character and was a semi-headliner for several years.

Hennig briefly wrestled in the WWF in the early 80's, but not under the Mr. Perfect gimmick. He returned to the WWF in 1988 as Mr. Perfect after a few years in the AWA.
