that should work out perfectly for you anyway. by that time, the flyers will have come back from at least 3 deficits and will be winning the game. - hammarby31
I will have to go out to watch if the Detroit game goes to overtime. |

Same reason you want the Rangers to lose to the Senators, eh?
I actually want the Rangers and Bruins en route to the Cup Final. I want to have beaten the best, so no one (opposing fans, media "experts," fake-fans-in-Flyers-clothing, or anyone else) can criticize a Stanley Cup win as a "fluke." - Flyskippy
criticize, schmiticize....i want a cup...i don't give a (frank) how they get it. |

Perhaps NBC has a contingency plan where the game will be continued on CNBC or MSNBC or NBC Sports? |

one would hope, given the vast amount of flyers fans around the nation, not to mention it's much more of a marquis matchup. |

Thats my point Skip.
Flyers own the Pens.
Pens own the Rags
Rags own the Flyers.
Cant argue that based on regular season stats. |

Please, by all means necessary the easiest route possible, I don't care if it means the school of the blind in the ECF, and Jerry's Kids in the Finals. |

Like the NHL is gonna delay getting the Penguins on national TV because of a stupid overtime game. Pffft.

exactly. does anyone ever mention that detroit - a literal all-star team - had to beat carolina in 2002? no. they just say detroit has 4 cups in 10 years. |

They had just won 5 years prior - and then won the following year. Kind of a different resume than a 37 year gap between Cups. Perhaps they were labeled a fluke in 1997 (though they'd just been to the dance in 1995), but 1998 kind of did away with that. Plus, at that time, the West was seen as the "superior" Conference with the Stars, Avs, Wings, etc. |

that's just one example. beating the flyers after a 55 year drought is one thing. beating the caps the next year? meh. or the canes in 02 after they loaded up with hull, hasek, etc.
what about the canes beating edmonton (with their backup goalie jussi markenen due to a roloson injury in game 1) in 06? i think the oilers were an 8 seed and have been horrible for years. or the islanders beating (frank)ing minnesota or vancouver in 81 and 82? i'm sure there are other examples. |

Yeah, because time, gravity and having kids do nothing to the human body. Gotcha. Keep drinking your juice, Mr LaLanne...the years do catch up with you.

How are time, gravity, having kids working out for this 66 year old?
LaLanne is dead, he conked out at 96, that's a test tube baby in Japan.

Pretty sure Betman said on radio show that contingency plans were in place in case of OT overlap. NHL network would probably get the start of Flyers game if DET / NSH goes deep in OT. Or perhaps NBCSN if they don't have live sports already set up for this afternoon. |
