Agreed. The biggest thing they can do to the Pens is end their Season. Next year there will be plenty of time for retribution. The Flyers have a bigger goal in mind. Can't risk an injury due to retribution or a suspension. - MJL
That is conventional advice but I think when there is clear, clear evidence of intent to injure and you don;t do anything, then the next team starts to take liberties. |

there's no excuse for what the pens did today. asham should be in jail. bylsma needs to be put in his place. the pens know better and they know what they did today is classless, gutless and very dangerous. just blatant disrespect to the game. - flyerscup2011
Lol, im leaving now, to much. Great game! Don't change a thing! |

Holy (frank) what a game
James Neal just rocketed up my "Biggest female doges in the League Rankings"
Crosby should have gotten 10 minutes in the first period for causing that "brawl" and escalating it twice. - NYIDRIVE4FIVE
He showed his true colors today, and that is he's a bleeping scumbag. I'm sorry there's no defending him now. Total lack of respect for his opponents and the game. I hate and detest wishing injuries on players but I'll say this if he goes down for good with another bell ringer, GOOD RIDDANCE!!! |

Neal could of avoided that hit on Couturier but decided it was much better to try and injury him while he wasnt look and the puck was down the other end of the ice.

i have no idea why. but there's a code when fighting and letang did not abide by it. you don't hit a player who is on the ice. you don't hit a guy who just got up with his jersey over his head. you don't throw a guy to the ice trying to have him land on his head. that's obvious, right? |

I didn't say don't do anything. The post I replied to said that you defend yourself. That is what I agreed to. But the Flyers do not need to initiate any fisticuffs, or seek revenge for anything that happened today. |

Does anyone know if Giroux is ok? He didn't look good after Neal tried to hurt him. Then he wasn't on the ice at the end of the game, which I understand why. When they showed him on the bench, he didn't look good. - Shephardbd
I saw Giroux laughing about it. |

James Neal will not play game 4:
46.22 Fines and Suspensions – Instigator in Final Five Minutes of Regulation Time (or Anytime in Overtime) - A player who is deemed to be the instigator of an altercation in the final five (5) minutes of regulation time or at anytime in overtime (see 46.12) shall be suspended for one game, pending a review of the incident.
When the one-game suspension is imposed, the Coach shall be fined $10,000 – a fine that will double for each subsequent incident.
The suspension shall be served unless, upon review of the incident, the Director of Hockey Operations, at his discretion, deems the incident is not related to the score, previous incidents in the game or prior games, retaliatory in nature, “message sending”, etc. The length of suspension will double for each subsequent offense. This suspension shall be served in addition to any other automatic suspensions a player may incur for an accumulation of three or more instigator penalties.
No team appeals will be permitted either verbally or in writing regarding the assessment of this automatic suspension as all incidents are reviewed by the Director of Hockey Operations as outlined above. |

Rinaldo needs to retire. He'll never get a fair shake again in this league. Ever. - rockychocbill
Is AHL & junior suspensions got him a rep before he even played an NHL game, now he's doing nothing to disprove it. |

As you can imagine, folks will be watching this thread considering the nature of this game. Just a fair preemptive warning not to get personal. - nfph
Eh. Who cares. What I want to know is was Shanny watching that game, considering the nature of that game. There should be at least 2 suspended Pens come Wednesday: Asham and Neal. I could give a damn about the rest of the antics, though if Giroux is hurt, it should be open season on Crosby and Malkin after the Flyers run the score up a bit in game 4. |

The Flyers played a great game but boy am I astonished at what the Pens are doing. They are the biggest bunch of sucks I have ever seen. If something doesn't go there way or their team is losing they take cheap shots and start fights. I didn't see the Flyers do that when they were down 3-0 in game 1 and 2-0 in game 2. The Pens really need to learn how to show some respect and lose with some god damn class. Hopefully the league will straighten them out. |

+2 The Flyers answered the Bell today. To try and carry the stupid poop into game 4 might let Pittsburgh back into this series. I'm sure if the Flyers have them beaten wednessday that once the clock starts to wind down, the Crowd is gonna give them a serenade for the ages. |

Pittsburgh were the poster boys for concern for "hits to the head" and now they pull all of that crap? F==kin bull! League should suspend the hell out of Pens players and just make game 4 a mere formality.

If I was a Pens fan, I would be embarrased of my team right now. And not just for how they played in the actual playing part of the game. But for their behavior.

*Shrugs, that's the nature of a warning. You can ignore it,but you can't say I didn't warn you.
I'm very curious what comes of this. I do ascribe to the whole Pens a the golden team of the league idea... And the Pens just embarrassed the league. I would think retribution may actually be visited here. |
