I tell you what, I'm still livid over James Neal running Giroux and Couturier. The stuff with Crosby and Adams, that's frustrations boiling over or cheap gamesmanship. Neal...I lost every ounce of respect I had for that guy today. - Jsaquella

Lava and the Flyers leadership did a good job IMO of trying to stay as focused on the game as possible. - eayost
I agree, they did what they could in the situation. |

Too bad Bylsma doesn't have that kind of control over his players. - nhindian
Bylsma seems to have caught lightning in a bottle when he took over and they won the cup, since he hasn't been impressive with the injuries in the regular season but he's done nothing to get back to that level of success via the playoffs. |

If anything Adams should ibe the first one suspended. He was third man in on a fight and then started wailing on Hartnell. He got a game misconduct and an instigator. - MBFlyerfan
That wasn't an altercation, so no 3rd man in. Instigator in the last 5 is just a game misconduct, nothing else
Edit: Sorry, my mistake:A player who is deemed to be the instigator of an altercation in the final five (5) minutes of regulation time or at anytime in overtime (see 46.12) hall be suspended for one game, pending a review of the incident.
When the one-game suspension is imposed, the Coach shall be fined $10,000 – a fine that will double for each subsequent incident. |

It takes a lot to keep your composure. As MJL mentioned Laviolette had his team under control, while Bylsma totally lost control. If I was the coach I would have instructed Rinaldo to remove Crosby's head from his shoulders. - PLindbergh31
Im not talking about running around and losing focus on the the task at hand nor jeopardizing a possible suspension. But I have no problem if a guy like Neal is injured however it may happen |

Seriously, if he's going to do that stuff than that puts him in a different category. I've tried to refrain from hopping on the "Crosby Sucks" bandwagon, now, it's game on. |

You knew he didn't want to take the bait when he could have sent people on that were fighters right after the Neal hit and didn't.
But no matter what he can only control players so much before they just do what they want. - ob18
That's what you call a coach who has class ...an ass kicking on the scoreboard hurts a lot more then a brawl |

I would have Simmer challenge Neal.
On another topic, how does Barkann get to host so many marquee sports shows? The guy is dumb as a pole! - PT21

Sure it was. Hartnell was already engaged in a fight with another player when Adams jumped in. It was a clear cut case of third man in.

He doesn't suck, but he's not a choirboy, either. The crap he did was nothing big, though, juvenile poop that happens in a beer league game. |

Losing Gill and Scuderi hurt more than Shero could ever have known.
He didn't resign them because of the price, but both of them would've made something like 5.25 mil, while Martin is getting $5 mil by himself. Add in another near $5mil contract in Michalek and they look AWFUL.
And Talbot, while not typically a force on the ice (his production this year wasn't typical), is great for the locker room.
Shero needs to make some major moves this offseason.

The Pens lost control today. They played out of character and the more they run around like idiots the better it is for the Flyers because were winning the most important battle.
What Neal did today at the end of the game is classless.

I mean he sucks as for his attitude and behavior. Obviously he's a world class player, I just wish he'd act like it. Then I could stomach how the league goes out of its way to protect him. |

It looked incidental. He was trying to get a hold on Hartnell's shoulder pad.
