So I take it you are one of the people in Canuck nation not blaming Duncan Keith for being down 2-0? That organization needs to be blown up and AV needs to be fired immediately. You would never see Mike Babcock, or Joel Quennville, or Dave Tippet pull something like that in a press conference. Just a completely unprofessional organization from top to bottom.
With regards to the on-ice product, you are just being beat in every phase of the game. Kings are more opportunistic, more energetic, more physical...and they look like they want it more. As bad as the coach has been, the players go out there and play. They don't look desperate enough to win this series. I had the Canucks as my initial WCF pick...after those 2 performances though I have to say Kings in 6. Which would make my revised conference semi-finals look like this
Hawks vs Sharks
Preds vs LA
Here's to hoping for an all central WCF! - anawrocki
I think most of the off ice staff is great in vancouver but regardless if the nucks lose this series AV is gone.

Varlamov got a 1st and a 2nd but you already knew that - sabrebuzz8
So that means Schnieder, a less established goalie than when Varlamov was traded, is going to get the 2nd overall, and their best prospect? AND a very good prospect?

LOL unprofessional organization? That's why it's known as one of the best sports business organizations in all of sport and has many teams around all four major sports league following their blue print. Also, the on ice product is pretty good as well. Two league wins in a row. Ya totally unprofessional.

Varlamov has an opportunity to bolt, for one. I wouldn't say Schneider is less established. He's been stuck behind Luongo. Schneider has done nothing but dominate at every level he's ever played at, including the NHL. He's been developed properly. It's bad to throw in young golaies in the nhl right away. I dont understand why teams do it. They learn a lot more about their games at the AHL level and have opperunities to work kinks out of their game. That's why Colorado was going after Schnieder before Varlarmov. I like Varlarmov though. He played well against the Canucks this year....kinda |

I think Kassian is better suited to play with Pahlsson. Ebbett is also a better scorer than Kassian and I see him as a better fit with Hank because of his experience. The guy had 5 goals in 18 games. that's like a 20-25 goal pace. - IanEsplen
I disagree - Kassian, although completely unproven, is a big body that can provide time and space for Hank as well as cycle the puck a bit. He's offensively talented but can't show that on the fourth line. Also, Booth is a shooter and could work well with Hank given the chance...what have we got to lose? We're down 2-0! Hank is not a goal scorer, he's got a complete muffin for a shot. Needs players to pass the puck to! This would be a good forechecking line....but whatdo I know.
Booth Hank Kassian
Kesler is also a shot first kinda guy, why AV insists on keeping him and Booth together is beyond me (with Daniel being out). Burrows and Kesler have chemistry together and some history, they know each other's game! On the RW for that line I would have Raymond for his speed or Lapierre for his forechecking.
Burrows Kelser Raymond/Lapierre
Third line remains in tact.
Higgins Pahlsson Hansen
Fourth line? Use Ebbett on the PP, those goals you speak of seem to be timely and on special teams.
Malhotra Lapierre Ebbett (Raymond)
Forwards gotta support the defense more, tighten up the space between them and the defenseman and move the puck quicker! Play with passion...where's the passion? It's like they just expect to move on because they did it before, news flash...it doesn't work like that!!! |

Kassian wont help much he has no discipline and if your play him much he will just take stupid penalties. He is heading down the pure goon road if he doesnt learn to contain himself. - camby
I have no idea what you're basing that opinion on, but I completely disagree! He's played less than half a season in the NHL. He won't establish himself until he's around 24 years old IMO. |

5 Reasons Vancouver Will Lose
1- Coaching- we need to fix the power-play. God has it been pathetic. Hopefully it won’t cost Vancouver again.
2- Coaching- is AV really going to get out coached by Sutter. Well he is and in a big way so far.
3- Coaching- preparation, man has this team looked lost and uninspired. If you can’t get a team up and ready for the playoffs, what kind of motivator are you?
That is a shocking revelation.I will have frightening images of that for years to come.Sutter who mumbles and no one (I mean no one) can understand WTF he is saying ,who has the personality of a boat oar, is outcoaching you?Enjoy Mtl AV I hear the smoke meat is best at Schwartz. |

Varlamov was less established and less sought after than Schneider is and he got a 11th pick and a 2nd. I never said Schneider could get those 3 things but he can get more than Varlamov. |

Nothing wrong with that. Isn't that the way the NHL is heading? |

Edler, Hansen, Pahlsson & Burrows have scored goals for us in this series....there in lies the problem! Very little finish...but we knew that before this thing started! |

Varlamov played 59 NHL regular season games and 19 playoff games before he was traded.
Schneider has already played 68 regular season games and 5 playoff games.
What a HUGE difference. |

Have you watched any Canucks games with Kassian? I wish he was more of a "pure goon." The guy doesn't fight and hasn't had any big hits. Learn to contain himself? What is this based on? |

Hate to bring up the heated trade again, hell we knew it was for the long term not the short, but with Danial down how easy would this be if we had Hodgson. Gillis rolled the dice knowing if we lost a top 6 we are done and he lost. I personally have never liked AV, even if we won 3 cups in a row I hate him, glad to see this will be his last season with us.

If this team is gone in the first round what are the chances we see some core tinkering?
Schneider and Kesler
for
2nd overall, Ryan Johansen and Jon Moore.
or
Luongo
to Tampa for
Connolly, 10th overall and Detroits first. - Boinker
I am tired of the Kesler show anyways. After game one I thought here we go again. If you don't think he didn't cost us the game you are mistaken. That make up call with the snow shower lead directly to the first goal and started the reputation all over again.
I would expect more for him, more of a Corey Perry type trade or Hartnell. |

Gillis kept the insurance policy with Schneider and never figured scoring would be the problem even though Raymond was top 6 |

I still think the Canucks forwards, when they actually play like they are capable of playing, are fine. I think they need a true top pairing d-man that can shut down other teams stars. Every cup winning team has that big time d-man. Chara, Keith/Seabrook, Pronger. Canucks just have a bunch of middle pairing d-man. |

I agree about the top pairng D. I think Gillis will address the D in the summer.I am hoping Luongo for Hedman and other changes. There are big questionmarks about Edler .I had thought he would have been much further along.Bieksa Hamhuis would be a good second pairing.

The problem is ,they don't play like they are capable of often enough. They take too many vacations. When you see 15 and 16 games go by with no goals from a top 6 ,then maybe they should be 7-9 players,or elsewhere. |

If the Canucks aren't going to play Schneider tonight, then isn't not trading him at the deadline for a significant piece that could help us now the dumbest move in franchise history?
Schneider has roughly a 1.90 GAA and a .938 SV% on the road this year. |

Vancouver is one new coach away from going from top contender to a dynasty. Lou has stood on his head to keep this team in the game but the Canucks lacked the discipline to win the game. The Kings had the same exact problem until Sutter took over. Even with Daniel im the lineup the Canucks play too emotional instead of tactical. |

Yup we could have had Marty Turco sitting on the bench, or for that matter John Garrett .
This is becoming a theme with the Canucks that they look lile they don't know what they are doing. |
