No, it's the same way. Crosby this. Crosby that. When teams beat the Pens the articles aren't about them winning, it's about how this travesty happened to the Pens. It's sick.
I'm so tired of it. Stamkos, Giroux, Datsuyk and hell, even Ovi should be the faces of the league. Crosby has world class talent...but he is a joke of a man that no kid should look up to. - hereticpride
i agree 100% its time for the NHL to find a new poster boy Crosby has no class.... i understand trying to fire your team up i understand sticking up for team mates.... what i don't understand is why after its all said and done you have to whine cry and complain ... be a man step up and act like a man you are playing in a man's game with men not children.... ACT LIKE IT |

you think even adams and asham got of scott free? the league does suck their roosters, could very well be the case. just think if the shoe was on the other foot how much of a public outcry there would be to suspend flyers, fine the organization, suspend the coach. but with the pens it's no harm no foul? |

I just watched some highlights of the altercations in this game. Should be very interesting to see what shannahan does. I didnt see it to well but Neal looks like he should be getting a suspension. Craig Adams should have been tossed as 3rd man in. The pens are idiots they seem like they are the ones starting these fights. This just in that's not working for you. Every time a fight starts I bet laviolette must be a bit happy inside. And and seriously Crosby. What a whinny baby. He reminds me of Boyle. Dish it but doesn't want to take it. If youre going to play that style you have to expect to get smacked around |

Neal won't get a suspension because the NHL has no teeth when it comes to discipline. 'Protecting our stars' only means not punishing them when they're the ones crossing the line. |

There is a great article on the Trib, http://m.triblive.com/tri...YoXkvT1&full=true#display
Pens fans are more angry at their team then we are.
Its an interesting read, little bias and things im not happy about when he calls our Stevens squads gutless but still an interesting read - flyers4487
I've never heard Voracek referred to before as a "mega pest". Not saying he doesn't mix it up and do some yapping, but how many situations this season have there been where you could look at Voracek as a guy who truly instigated the extracurricular activity. Talbot, yes. Briere, yes. Not Voracek.

Adams suspension is an automatic one. League would have to rescind it, and they won't do that.
I think Asham gets one game. Neal will get only a fine.

Crosby only actually "fought" Giroux after the linesman stepped in, and he knew he was safe. Pathetic.

Are Giroux and Couturier OK ?
Neal is a (frank)king asshhole...
I hope Crosby gets his final concussion during game 4...He's a real piece of poop who is starting everything...

This is exactly accurate. I was screaming at the TV this very thing.
Then we have this gem from Crosby in the post game.
"I don't like those guys. I don't like them. Because I don't like them."

I don't think it's a coincidence that the main guy Asham has targeted is one that he never played with in Philly. That's not uncommon.
Despite some reputed off-ice issues, Asham served the Flyers well during his time here. He was quite good in the 2010 playoffs.

The league has a chance to fix this today, by suspending Neal and Asham for 4 games. Anything less is an admission of favoritism.
It is really sad that fans and bloggers have been conditioned by the league to expect and accept such favoritism.

Giroux and Coots seemed ok, though they kept Giroux on the bench for the end of the game (a wise move, all things considered). As for Crosby, I hope the Flyers just close out this series and move on from that (orifice), that scum's wasted enough of everybody's time.
Of course, if Sid wishes to engage the extracurriculars I wouldn't mind seeing his face rearranged. |

Until Brendan Shanahan, and more importantly, the NHL, starts showing some semblance of consistency with supplementary discipline, the gutless goonery isn't going anywhere. Thanks to Shanahan letting Weber off, it's open season out there now. - jd342
Blame the owners and GM's for the lack of disciplinary action (especially to star players). They're the ones that cried when Shanahan gave lengthy suspensions. |

The Penguins are getting murdered by their media today. Getting called cheap, gutless, the whole 9 yards. I feel like I am listening to Philly radio lol.

when asham played for the flyers he was a warrior he was an energy guy who could fire his team up... now i understand that he might have been standing up for a team mate who took a hard hit from Schenn but he took it way to far maybe his emotions got the best of him.... but he needs to sit a couple to think about it |

While I realize that the Weber incident has set an unfortunate precedent on stars getting away w/ cheap hits, I still think Neal is going to be suspended. Weber's hit, while reckless, was a hit while engaged with the player against the boards and retaliatory.
Neal, not once, but twice goes to the head of unsuspecting players who are not near the puck. If it was just Coots or just Giroux, maybe his star power gets him just a fine. However, the reckless spree over the course of almost minute, ON NATIONAL TELEVISION no less, should lead to a suspension. Otherwise, the NHL is just setting up for even worse acts as we get further in the playoffs.

Say what you will about the guy but he is nothing short of an utter embarrassment of a Captain. If my kid is a Pens fan I take him directly to the mall and tell him "any jersey but that until he and the Pens prove themselves worthy of your loyalty" |

Good to hear that. Go Flyers Go, sweep it, you're my team for this year ^^
I heard Adams grabbed Hartnell's hair at the end ? Wow...the Pens are really fighting like girls. Crosby behind a linesman and the other grabbing the hair...pathetic

I was doing some yelling at that one myself.
Someone was talking about a comment on TV about the Pens missing a veteran on the team who would take some of these guys aside, shake them, and say, "WTF are you doing?"
They're lacking leadership, and Bylsma has lost control.
