If I'm the Flyers, whether they are hurt or not, I make Giroux and Couturier and Schenn.. "Day-to-day". Now they might be hurt, and Neal might get what he deserves.... - RooNosHockey
You shouldn't have too. It was a blatant attempt to injure. Just because he's a star should mean NOTHING. It's a joke. |

Nevertheless, despite being a repeat offender under NHL rules, it's unlikely Neal will be suspended.
1) Couturier appeared OK afterwards, as was Giroux (hopefully that continues to be the case in days to come)
2) Refs didn't call a penalty on either play (we've seen suspensions for plays that the refs let go, however)
3) The NHL is going to suspend two other Pens for incidents from this game; albeit one is an automatic suspension without a review or league decision to be made. - bmeltzer
I agree that they won't suspend Neal which is a disgrace really.
However, about the Adams suspension, Bob McKenzie said on twitter last night that the league can decide to waive the suspension (and the 10k fine for the coach) if they feel the fight in the last 5 minutes wasn't a clear case of "message sending". And honestly, in this case, I think they'd be right to do that. It didn't appear as though that fight was sending a message for next game... it was just a coninuation of the day's frustrations.
What I'd LIKE to happen is have the Adams stuff waived, and Neal to be given the punishment he deserves. HOWEVER, more likely is that Neal gets off scot free.

Man, I just watched the replay of the Simmonds goal at the end of the second period. Paul Martin literally just stopped skating and gave up even before Simmonds swooped in front and onto his back hand. He gave a half-hearted slash but that was about it. Yeesh and his team was only down a goal at that point. |

Unfortunately, that star precedent has been set on the very first day of the playoffs. |

i've never seen this much unnecessary bullcrap. the peng-wines are starting poop every chance they get and are so so so so cheap in how they go about it. true pussies, complete chickenpoops. and crosby is such a crybaby. he sounded like he was crying when he gave his now famous because i don't like him tirade. i wish he would take his puck and go home. - flyerscup2011
Honestly, calling out the Pens players for what they did, and then using terms like peng-wines, softens the message. The Pens players were disrespectful and dishonorable in their actions. Not all them, but some of them. As fans we should not stoop to that level by using terms such as peng-wines. And I understand that the two thing aren't nearly the same level. But why give anyone a chance to use that stuff and throw it back? |

Try telling the 20k fans chanting Crosby sucks that. This isn't little league sports, this is major league sports. |

I have no faith that justice will be served by the league in this case.
But more alarming is that neither hit by Neal (on Couturier or Giroux) received a penalty? Were they missed by the refs, or deemed not worthy of a penalty? Was there any explanation given? - bradleyc4
Neal received a charging minor for the hit on Giroux. |

Do you think the Flyers put together something on the jumbo tron in game 4 of Crosby's little fit after the game?
I don't like em. I dont like em cause I don't like em. What was I suppose to do pick it up for em? I don't like em. WAHHHHHH
If the Flyers play that on the screen, I can't imagine how crazy that building will go. |

I dont think so. Penguins are going to try, but the Flyers have already shown they are the classier team. They haven't gone for revenge for anything... and put thier marks on the score-board. I think the Penguins are going to expect the Flyers to try and get revenge and they will come out and take some bad penalities in game 4, and the Flyers will sweep the series. At that point, Flyers will be playing to stay healthy, no need to get hurt to a team heading to the golf course. - RooNosHockey
I dont mean it as the Flyers trying to get revenge. If the Pens are losing in Game 4 like the other day, I see them same garbage happening. The Flyers will have no choice but to stand up for each other again. I dont think the Flyers will personally go after Neal. |

I just dont see the point of putting that specific interview up on the big board. I could be wrong. |

That place will lose it. I am willing to bet they do show it, or at least worded quotes. |

If the Penguins go down again, there isn't going to be anything happening. There would be no "next game". They will just skate around with thier tails between thier legs like the dogs they are. |

Not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but since he doesn't like anyone on the Flyers, how will that inevitable hand shake be for Syd? |

Hopefully it will be embarrasing and humiliating for Crosby to have to shake the Flyers hands. |

I'm just going to throw this out there, but Malkin got an instigator with about a minute left in Game 2 of the 2009 Stanley Cup Finals for attacking Zetterberg and didn't get suspended. He didn't even get a fine. |

He has no class so it wouldnt surprise me if he went straight to the locker room when the game ended. However, I hope the Captain has more respect then to do that. |
