And a fine for Joe Q?
There is a theme here, the refs and the league officials are a joke. |

The Walmart where they film these videos is pretty packed today. Luckily for the NHL its a 24 hour Walmart. I have heard video attendant Tony is adding some cool sound effects and putting the finishing touches on the video. Decision within the hour. - j19b0yle23

It's not fair to expect it and no he isn't Peter Forsberg but I wouldn't rule anything out. He's still drafted number 2 in his class and he has already surprised in the past. - roenick97

When you allow Weber to get away with only a fine for doing what he did it sets the tone for the rest of the league. Hard to clean up the mess now. |

This has become an epidemic.
Shanahan has to drop the hammer on these guys, and hard. Next, the league has to take their refs back to school to learn how to recognize a dangerous hit and act swiftly.
Hossa is wheeled off, Chicago is in the penalty box, and Torres is waiting for his next shift while relaxing on the bench.
What is going on here? |

He steam rolled Seabrook last year when he was with Vancouver. I think he was the one who cheap shotted JVR. It's his MO and he deserves the book thrown at him. |

it is ... though I thought Shaw got maybe an extra game or two than he should have, so maybe Shanny's trying to make up for previous effed up decisions. |

I wonder if the players have a mechanism by which they can stand up to the NHL and its stupid instigator rules. The ability to enforce respect needs to be put back in to the hands of the players.
There is no accountability, and punishment only happens after the fact, if it happens at all. The players need to have the right to defend themselves and put the "rats" in their place or someone is going to get killed.
What does it matter if Shanahan suspends someone who already seriously injured another player. That does nothing for the injured player.
Total horsepoop, the players association needs to take a stand.
I am disgusted by all of these chicken poop dirty hits.

By playing with the injuries he has this season, he's already surpassed my expectations as far as playing hurt and playing tough. We've seen players such as Simon Gagne, Jeff Carter and Chris Pronger return and play with foot injuries. I believe Jeff Carter was out along period of time before returning with a foot injury. |

Good, man. Thanks for asking! His teeth came in just fine. Heh. He had the Couturier look before Sean did.
Same here. I'm on twitter more for that reason, amongst others. |

And what good does it do to suspend marginal NHL players who are laying out the stars of the game.

refs just blew a call on what should have been a goal for nashville. judgement call on ice cuz lost sight of puck? how many goals does the puck rattle around or slide under someone and you lose sight of it. horrible officiating. you can lob the quick whistle in their too, the whistle for as soon as hit barely hits the goalie. |
