if you don't think the pens have gotten the better go of the calls in this series you have to be stupid. we get calls for us, they can't appear to not give us any calls at all. but the pens have gotten away with at least 5 blatant penalties this series. the flyers have gotten called for a lot of penalties due to pens embellishing. you would have to be stupid as poop to think the flyers have gotten a fair skake in this series. neal didn't even get a penalty for running couturier. don't try to tell me anything else. just admit i'm right - flyerscup2011
Nope, you're wrong. In game 1, Cooke blatantly got tripped through the neutral zone and Simmonds ran over Fleury, both resulted in no calls.
In game 3, I think it was Coburn was crosschecking and hacking Kunitz in front of the net multiple times, and when Kunitz gave him a pretty light retaliation, it was called. Staal got called for a very weak ... hook I think they called it? I forget if that was the penalty that made it a 5v3 PP for you guys, but if it wasn't, then whichever call that was was incredibly weak as well.
The calls go both ways. |

while i don't watch many games not involving the flyers, i do know other teams get a bad break with calls every now and then. i've watched 80% of the flyers games this year (100% of the ones i could have watched) and they have gotten the benefit of the calls in 2 games all year. about 50 they got screwed in the rest were fair (about 5). that's not fair to me in my book. - flyerscup2011
Which 2 games were those? Dates and times, opponent and venue. Who were the refs and linesmen? I'm sure you have detailed notes on all of these variables. |

Certain teams? Not at all.
Certain players? Probably, but every team has one. - nhindian
Yeah, hockey is, quite clearly, the hardest game to officiate and the officials regularly make mistakes because the game is so fast, on a relatively small, enclosed space, and they need to have their heads on a swivel or become part of the play as opposed to 'detached' spectators. |

no you don't. the best part of it is that kane was literally right there. the worst part is that the hawks didn't lose the cup because of it. - hammarby31

You mean like Crosby and Staal on G's goal against Johnson on Sunday? |

Tomorrow Night must be treated as a Game 7. With 3 key players sitting out for the Pens, anything less then a sweep will be a huge disappointment and breathing life into an already beaten Penguins team. |

Adams and Asham aren't exactly 'key'... Adams plays a good role on the PK, so I would expect for you guys to go 4/5 on the PP instead of 3/5 |

I think Shanny steps down soon. I just don't know how you regain fair, unbiased order after this...and we aren't even in the 2nd round yet.
They need to hire Kerry Fraser ASAP. Its a job that should have only belonged to an official anyway. |

Yeah, that was bad coverage. And Staal also had that one go off his stick right to Talbot for a goal. He's way off his game. |

Asham brings toughness and grit. Adams bring grit and solid penalty killing. You need these types of role players to be successful. I wouldn't down play what any of the players on my team bring to the table. I love every single player who plays on my team. |
