Well In QMJHL action the 2013 future first over all draft pick Nathan MacKinnon, and the halifax mooseheads just came from behind to school Mikhail Grigorenko and the Quebec Remparts in game 7 after being down 3 games to 0. I wonder if Montreal still wants Patrick Roy as their coach?
MacKinnon now has 11 goals 10 assists in 11 playoff games! |

Even if you took each of those ex-leafs you've mentioned and put them together on one roster...that team would miss the playoffs big time!
There is no ex-leaf in the playoffs right now (that I can think of) that makes me wish we still had him.
Save for maybe Rask who isn't technically playing. |

And now for an even more painful exercise in hindsight how bout a list of players who were picks the Leafs decided to trade away, Seguin comes to mind......or even better, add the players we could have drafted but passed upon so we could draft the likes of Tlusty and whatnot.
You know, guys like Giroux, Karlsson etc......

This is a reason the Leafs will never be any good. Because of Fans like you who just drive the confidence of the management, coaching and players right out of town.
FYI - Lots of teams missed out on Giroux and Karlsson. Secondly - Kessel is better than Seguin nevertheless who knows how the leafs would have played that first with Kessel in the lineup. They could have been worse or possibly better without Kessel therefore making it a Seguin, Hamilton for Kessel trade a moot point. |
