winning six of those games instead of losing them = playoffs - is that success? - HipHopisDead
depends on what their goal was for the year. Burke didnt want to make the playoffs and get burnt...so he didnt make any changes that would have helped them get in. But the fact that the team fell of the cliff like no ones ever seen before, was a failure. The fact that, out of all of it, we got a 5th round pick...it kinda makes up for it, for now.
Yea, well what do you expect, you guys have drafted the best available talent over the last 3-4 years and are still bottom feeders...somehow you've managed to display that drafting high for 3 years in a row gets you no where - noename09
Just like the Pens who drafted high for 5 years and never got out of the basement!
I just heard the Pitt - Philly game tonight will be a 'tables, ladders and chairs' match. - robin_steele264
aaaah....good to know. Ill be on my couch, with a beer in hand....do I get to watch or do I need to be sitting at a table so high it requires a ladder to climb into my chair?

Things happen during break ups that you're not proud of, I did things, he did things. I still feel fondly of him, but we can never be again, what we once were.
id rather not get into it...but Sundin was great for the team and city for YEARS...however the biggest thing he could have done was accept a trade and leave the Leafs with someting for the future too....it was his right not to, he gave us everything he could while he was here...but that upset me too.

Does make me wonder though..if he had accepted a trade and the players coming back sucked balls, would Leafs nation have then found a way to blame him for that and rage about his lack of loyalty?
