He's a PPG player in his career in the playoffs. He's been dynamite so far, yet again. This is why I rarely complain about Briere. As Butsy has said, he's a big game hunter. When the games are big, Briere's doing damage. - Jsaquella
What good is the damage if he's allowing equal damage to be done? It's like a quarterback that throws 25 td's and 25 interceptions. He's not winning you a championship unless they have a defense that is lights out. |

I don't really get all this Sidney bashing. Bobby Clarke did a lot of the same type of dirty things and let his teammates step in to protect him and he's a folk hero in Philly. - Dkos
I find it a bit embarrassing. I also find that "you cant beat us" chant to be a bit lame since the fans were just copying the same thing Rangers fans were chanting at us the last Rangers game.
Too many nitwits commenting that we should "get" Crosby. Then what? Be shorthanded with suspensions like the Penguins are now?
Just win the (frank)ing game. The Penguins can wait until next season when we will have 6 chances to collect on what is owed.

That cover is ridiculous and embarrassing. This is the same newspaper that chided the Chicago paper for their "Chrissy" Pronger cover. - Jsaquella
I'm sure it's on the Pens bulletin board too. Sheesh. Stoopid ass clowns. |

I think there was a lot of pressure for Bryz to be outstanding the playoffs due to his not so good record. If we win tonight, this will help his confidence and be stronger for the next round. I don't think any other team in the East plays like Pitt with that much offense except for us when we have to. |

I'm just calling it like it is. Look I really do hope things keep going for him. I really hope when we play Boston or NY because I doubt the Flyers can advance without having to play one if not both. In that case I worry. Just look at last year. He was on fire against Buffalo then hit a wall against Boston. I'm not coming up with this stuff because I don't like the guy. Either way Here's to hoping I'm wrong |

The entire team hit the wall against Boston. His job is to provide offense. He's done that. |

Schenn has played great...and he's on a line with Briere. - Jsaquella
the word around the interwebs is, the Schenn hit on Martin is what put Martin out for tonight's game.
All I know is, the Pens will be icing a good amount of AHler's and the Flyers need to take advantage of their line-up.
With the Flyers depth, I expect a win tonight. Lava, with home ice, should be able to expose the weakened line-up of the Pens on a few occasions this night!

all of this, but the you can't beat us chirping really bugged me. i don't want to borrow anything from the blueshirts, ever, certainly not when the series isn't even over. |

The thing with Danny is WHEN he does his damage. Every goal he scores is easily worth two times the ones he's on for just because of when he scores them. |

I agree. Let's win this, and stay healthy. The worst thing you can do to a spoiled brat is show that his tantrums don't bother you. But I can't wait until the hand-shake to see how it all goes down. I bet Crosby just skates right off like he did in Detroit.

I actually liked the you cant beat us chant, the crowd got into it and maybe it stung the pens alittle. I do agree with everything else that has been said. I dont want any blood today, lets keep our eye on the prize. Im sure seeing us hoist the cup would sting WAY more then anything we could do to them today on top of sweeping them...
Plus like you said theres 6 games next year to collect our pound of flesh |

The whole team struggled against Boston, hence the final result. Just the year before he was a major catalyst in the Flyers historic comeback against the same team.
You can't deny the fact that when the game holds meaning, Danny comes up huge. |

It could be, and Schenn did leave his feet on the hit-you can see it on the end camera shot-so any gripes on that hit from Pens fans are valid.
But, tonight, the Flyers really need to finish this series off. Stay smart, work hard and end this thing. Don't allow the Pens off the canvas. If they can win without Neal and Adams, they'll get a boost for a game 5, and if the Pens can get two wins, the dynamic is definitely different.
The Pens might be down, but like a crippled rattlesnake, they're still dangerous. |

May be Leight, but Paul Martin is out. Not sure if that's a good thing for Flyers or not. If he was playing to past levels, it'd be a very good thing, but he's struggled. - Jsaquella
Good point. I thought he's looked bad. Him being out might be a net gain for the Pens. |

It's not funny, it's poorly done and the worst part is, when Seravalli tweeted it last night he seemed proud of it, until he got buried by negative tweets saying it was stupid. |

I just hope his lack of defense isn't exploited to the point of the Flyers being eliminated. I'm sorry but I don't see him scoring much against the better defensive teams in this year's playoffs. We'll see. |
