I said Flyers in 6 before the series started anyway. Would rather have the sweep but this isn't that big of a shock. I would rather them have a meltdown now like this, then in game 5 of the conference finals. A lot of lessons to be learned, if you're gonna reply with snarky comments about the goaltending I'm not entertaining it. I will say this a lot of players have to take a look in the mirror.
Have to start playing defense. At least to the level of the first two games. These last two games have been atrocious.
I'll get on board with Briere but he's gotta start backchecking. I'm singling him out because he's a leader on the team. If he back checks which isn't asking much that alone can be big difference in this team's fortunes.
Been saying all week this ain't over till it's over. I have no doubt the FLyers can win, they just need to get back to playing defense, it's that simple. |

45 years of Flyer hockey has been disgraced tonight. |

The best thing Philly can do in the third is getting a few goals past Fleury so his confidence doesn't get a too big boost from this game. |

It's one rehung to lose a tight game, but this is a complete asskicking. It's not like they weren't scoring the first three games. They'll come out all jazzed up in Pitt and if the Flyers dont end it in 6, we will be a suicidal fan base. - KINGKENZO
Worst kind of loss possible. Pittsburgh shows they can continue to score, also shows they can stop the Flyers from scoring.

Finally someone showed some emotion. Refs went overboard with the call though. Hard to decide which has been worse, the Flyers or the officials. - phillydiehard
Roo has been showing emotion throughout, and in the right way. |

I won't be jumping off the bridge with you guys, guess I'll have lower ticket prices to choose from. Boston pissed away a 3-0 lead in 2010 and look how they came back. This is a young team and quite frankly I've already stated my displeasure with some of the veterans, but this is a growing experience right here and better to get it out of the way now than two or three rounds later. |

So no athlete in any sport hasn't added an aspect to their game? I believe Jagr is a better back checker now than he was 10 years ago. Maybe I'm wrong. |

Down by 6 is nothing in this series. Expect the mandatory 4 goals in a row from the Flyers at any moment.. then from there who knows lol. |

I agree, they come out with a strong 3rd and put some doubt in the minds of PIT for next game. That is what they need, a couple hits, good team D, a save or two and a couple goals. This game is over but it is the game inside the game (Inception style). |

I don't like him for his laziness on defence which just costed the FLyers a goal. I don't know what you don't understand. He costs them goals. He was lazy on that play and it lead to a goal. If I see bryzgalov half ass something I will be the first to say it. But you even said the goalie needs rebound support. Briere almost never does that and almost every game is a liability. That last goal is the whole problem I have with him. Now he'll score a goal and you guys will gush over him. Gimme someone who puts twice the effort in with half the goals seriously, you'll come out ahead. - JoeRussomanno
Sorry, but there was more then just Briere that cost them that goal. Sorry, I don't see Briere as a liability. He has his faults as does every player. But Briere wasn't brought here to play defense. And what I do understand is the key contributions that Briere has made to this team since he's been here.

C'mon Joe...I keep reading that Briere is in decline, yet he's he's supposed to add a new dimension to his game. You're a tough customer.
Even if he did start to backcheck, you think it would turn around the team D?
