I don't see why they just can't make the call. Okay they are out there primarily to make the offsides calls but I mean cmon, don't they know the rules of the game? If something happens right in front of them, then by all means make the effin call. That hit on hossa happened right in front of a guy with a pinstripe shirt, you watch the look on his face and you know damn well he saw that hit. But he can't make the call because he's a linesman, gimme a break. - JoeRussomanno
Oh I agree totally.

Actually been mostly a light beer drinker because of my current condition, if I break that then I go with a wheat based ale, which Blue moons and Sam Adams are. If you guys know of any other wheat ales that are good by all means let me know - JoeRussomanno

One thing I can promise you is I'll always be a flyer fan I might hop on another team's bandwagon when the Flyers get eliminated but they are my favorite of all sports teams. |

Okay guys. Non hockey related question, but I respect all your opinions, so I'm going to ask.
Money is tight right now and I have an upgrade for my Cell Phone coming up.
I use sprint.
I want to get an iPhone but I'm conflicted. I can get the iPhone 4 for 99 bucks, or I can get the iPhone 4s for 199. The 100 bucks makes a big difference in my pocket, so I want to know if the added features of Siri and the faster speeds are worth this extra 100 bucks... |

I'm not sure how much Ref's make, but if I was the NHL, in order to get this stuff right, I would play my ref's 150k a year, plus pay for thier flight and hotel accomodations. You would get a larger influx of people that want to be a Ref, and therefore can pick and choose amongst the best. I would also fine refs for blatent missed calls. It's their jobs to get it right. There are 2 refs and 2 linesman on the ice. If your not sure confir with them to get the right call.
So now you are paying them a large sum of money so you get the cream of the crop... like players that couldn't make it to the NHL, but would make more as a Ref then coaching at some school. And you would get the Refs trying to get every call right, because if not, it comes out of thier pockets. - RooNosHockey
First of all, what makes you think they aren't getting the cream of the crop already? Are there top Hockey officials not working in the NHL that are better then the ones that are currently in the NHL, because they aren't paid enough. And the Officials just like the players are represented by a Labor group. Do you think they'll agree to your fine system? Not likely. |

i cant help but feel this is as much of a must win for the flyers as it is for the pens.especially with them missing a couple of key guys.a win tonight by pitt will give them life and the flyers dont need that.pitt is more then capable of doing what the flyers did two years ago.bryz,s play does not make me feel confident at all,i would go as far to say that he has not played any better then boucher last year.i hope they close it out tonight LETS GO FLYERS |

torres and neal are both about the same size. couturier and hossa are about the same height, but coots isn't as thick as hoss. torres is known for being a cheap shot, neal is too..... now. force equals mass times acceleration. same mass same acceleration same point of contact, to me says same hit. - flyerscup2011
They are very similar. I just think that Torres exploded more into Hossa than Neal did into Cooter. They both left their feet though.

Bryz was bad in game 3 but he was a lot better than his numbers say in the first two games. I'm sorry but there's only so much a goalie can do and Pittsburgh's goals were just good goals in those first two games. Guess you missed the glove save he made on a wide open letang to his blindside. |

Bryz has been solid enough.. and has come up with some huge game shifting saves... especially in games 1 and 2.
Unfortunately.. the style of plays both teams have elected to play by, are not very good for goalies. |
