From a confidence perspective, yes.

From a results perspective, no.

Even in the 80's teams played more defense than this...I have no frame of reference for how nuts this is...

NHL 94 on Sega Genesis and NHL 98 on PC. Two of the best hockey games freaking ever.

No doubt. pull the goalie in the 1st and try to get 100 goals. A thing of beauty.

one of the Flyers announcers said that to save time maybe they ought to use the Goal Horn sound when there's a SAVE instead of a goal.

- FlyerGuy

Isn't that the truth.

These penaties are a freaking joke. Another 5 on 3 for the Flyers, and IMHO both sides are getting screwed. Although mainly the Pens

I think the calls have favored the Flyers so far ... but I'm sure by the time the game's over with everyone will have plenty to complain about.

the players are just gonna have to play smarter this game ... which might be a tall order for some of these guys.

3 Penalties in 50 seconds. Maybe the league doesn't want Lavy screaming at them anymore.

win the cup?? we're just trying to win one more game!

Lavy has to seriously be thinking of putting Bob in though. Bryz looks like he has a broken ankle from how poor his balance is.

- FlyerGuy

Doesnt he actually have a broken bone in his foot??

Smart has nothing to do with it. Consistency is all anyone asks. Not just during a specific game, but from game to game. How can anybody know what a penalty is these days. NHL is the worst of pro sports by far.

Just crazy stuff. After 30 years of watching hockey I have never seen anything like this. Kind of fun, but nerve rackingto say the least.

I saw maybe two calls that should have been made. 1 for Philly one for the Pens, yet there were 8 or 9.

MAF has been broken a while now...he had that terrible series against montreal..i think he gave up the first goal on the first shot like 5 times that series...he had that terrible start in the reg season a few yrs back...2 years ago i think...he wasnt too amazing last years playoffs(but then we couldnt score without our big guys playing) and well this year he looks to be signing his walking papers(i hope!)

If I'm Lavy I let it fly. Seems to be working... Still up 3-0. Flower? Needs a big save for once in the series, so let it ride baby!
