I don't think we will see Paul Martin again for a while.
- akane13

He has the Brent Johnson injury specail. Undisclosed injury, out til absolutley no other options.

Despres should not see the minors ever again IMO

2 stats I just saw made me laugh

Pens are 2-0 when scoring 10 or more goals in the playoffs

Pens are 1-0 when 3 players are suspended

- ryman1566

Pens have never lost when scoring more goals than their opponent.

He looked pretty good. Can't really say anyone looked bad when you win 10-3. Except Fleury on that first goal.
- buffalofan19

Paul Martin would have found a way even if he had to put it in his own net.

and the second one that went through his pads. you have to make that save there, killing a 4-3 about to become a 5-3. you just have to make that save. and he's just that much off.

he played better and made a couple of good saves on the few good chances the flyers had the rest of the game. maybe that's something to build on for him

Should have clarified more. If your going to play bad and lose it's better to get blown out than by a goal and empty netter margin.
I would have preferred a sweep but at least any layoff they may get won't be as long.

We lost an OT game and a couple of blowouts. I was equally pissed after all 3!

So is this like Rocky IV when the Russian gets cut?
- buffalofan19

I hope this doesn't go anywhere near the plot line of Rocky IV.

I mean, can you imagine some Flyers fan coming in here and giving a speech preaching detente?

And they have to be 1-0 in games that they call a timeout after an icing in the 3rd period in games when they're winning by 7. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

If one ref made a right call in game one that a five year old could have made, this series is tied at 2-2 right now.
- Oneonta Penguin

So? You are assuming the Flyers dont tie the game up which you can't do.

That does nothing for you.. you should be more impressed that the Pens extended the series for another game then caring about what happened in game 1.

It was an interesting move. I was just trying to chime in with something obscure. It was the best I could do...being the Penguins expert I'm not.

They said on TSN Grossman got concussed. I didn't even see the hit. Big, big loss if it's true moving forward.

Yep, when you're up that many let the game drag on, give them more time to think about it.

He is day to day as of now. Kennedy hit him. and that would be a big loss for them, for sure

well, I just read this on the Rangers board ... shortly after the Sens won in OT:
I fuking hate this team, fuking chokers, series is done, nice fuking talent we have!
- HankdaTank

for some reason this made feel a bit better about tonight's Flyer embarrassment.
