Yay... we get two more days of talking about Raffi Torres. I guess, unless someone else does something stupid tonight, which seems pretty likely based on the playoffs so far.

They've definitely had their chances. They have, for the most part, played smart post season hockey--unlike this other team most of us are all vaguely familiar with.

With that off my chest, I won't be upset if the Penguins season ends tonight. They been out played/coached at every facet of the game and don't deserve to win. Unless they have spent the last two days watching video and figuring out how to respond to Philly when they wake up it won't be much different than the previous three games.

Also, everyone is just a little over it all right now given the uneven play we've been subjected to watching and seeing a team acting so far outside of what has become normal in Pit. It's been a spectacular implosion--nothing short of Gong Show-like quality.

The Washington Capitals' statement on Backstrom's suspension: "We disagree with the NHL’s decision to suspend Nicklas Backstrom. This has been a competitive and physical series, and we do not understand why a suspension was imposed in this case while other incidents in this series have not been reviewed. Our singular focus now is on Game 4, and we look forward to the energy that our great fans provide."

Of course they disagree... I'm sure they would also publicly disagree if Peverley cross checked Backstrom in the face and got a one game suspension.

You'll get used to it, I did. Go look at the number of comments on any of Bill Meltzer's past Flyers blog. After a few times it becomes easier to just scan through the comments to find the interesting ones.
