he'd BETTER be pissed off. there was a LOT to be pissed off about.

I actually don't think DB took a timeout to piss off Lavy. I think it was more of a "okay, we got a big lead but I still want to see solid positional play out there." Just to make sure no bad habits creep into the Pens play.

Could be. I think it was more along the lines of "let's extend this game and give them more time to look at the scoreboard"

I think he was avoiding putting MAF in a bad situation with a tired group. He wants MAF's confidence in full. ending that great game with a goal against may have let some bad thoughts back in.

will be very different game from first three.
very strict arbitrating will result in a few early penalties on the flyers and a 2-0 score on pp by penguins. low-chance game which will be a bit boring probably, low shots on goal and a good fleury resulting in a 2-1 win for penguins.
flyers will have an easy win in game 5 after that.
the suspension of just 1 game for neal is a joke, should have been 5 at least.
for his sake, there better be no game 5; he will be destroyed by simmonds..

Just saw the hit on Grossman, it was Malkin. It was also a shoulder to the head. Here we go, trolls unite.

He's a star and history shows us they only get fined. But I wouldn't be shocked if he got a game. It wasn't very pretty.

we might all just be hypersensitive to some of this stuff right now. I gotta see a video before I can say more, but I bet it's not as bad as some Flyer fans are making it sound.

Possible, I would just like to watch one franking game where something like this doesn't happen. I only saw the one replay and it was quick but it didn't look good.

Yeah, I think the Malkin hit was secondary. Grossman was clearly woozy (oxymoron?) after the first one.

EDIT - Just saw the Malkin hit, which was the primary. The Kennedy hit was later, and I think it finished the job.

yeah, I seem to remember him being rocked earlier in the 1st. Maybe it was on the same shift?

The Malkin hit might be something that could be fined ... but it's not close to being suspension worthy, imo.

Up for a moment to change the baby and couldn't resist checking in....Once I saw Grossman was hurt, I looked over the wall into Flyer land....posters who hadn't even seen the hit that gave Grossman his concussion were blaming Vitale, then Kennedy, and finally Malkin, calling the play dirty without having EVEN SEEN IT! The hysteria knows no bounds! I'm sure by tomorrow morning it will somehow be Crosby's fault, and then be Mario's by lunchtime....

Of all the ticky tack poop they called in the first, how did they miss that?

I tend to agree, but when they spin the NHL "wheel o' discipline", who really knows?

It's amazing. On Kennedy's forearm hit, there was a ref 5 feet away watching it happen. Call it roughing, or elbowing...something. It deserved 2 minutes.

I just skimmed it because I'm half asleep, but thought it was a couple guys. Funny stuff.

On a serious note, I hope Grossman is OK...we've had enough of the concussions around here to last us a lifetime. Back to bed for me FG.

To be fair it was only 1 guy. Although I'm sure when flyerscup2011 stops crying he'll weigh in.

Could have been ... but I thought it was just the one guy. Either way, it's idiotic to made such pronouncements without having even seen the video.

take it easy Emp ... congrats on the win.
