I know we have been battling back and forth for the last 100 years but all pens and flyers fans should go on youtube and search Hitler is disgusted with the Penguins. All should get a kick out of it. I would post a link but i'm at work and unable to. Let me know what you think I was cracking up.

If you guys win tonight you'll win game 5.

Flyers better take care of business or they're asking for trouble.

- FlyerGuy

If the Pens win tonight, I will be worried about Game #5 from either team's perspective... that will be the big one.

The Flyers own the Pens in Pittsburgh, and if they Flyers blow that, they will return to Philly to face some anxious fans, and angry media for Game #6. The pressure will have clearly shifted.

One shift... one period... one game at a time. Lets go Pens!

We used to sprint around the arena in our younger days(12 yrs old) chasing those blimps for what was essentially garbage prizes. Got a little tougher to follow when they would only fly them over the igloo club sections we could get into.
I almost got an envelope one tie but it floated down the seatback of some angry female senior citizen. When I reached down to grab it, she ripped it out of my hand.

- Rawdog9755

Yup, the only reason I got 2 free ones was because i was able to chase down two of the envelops. Great prizes huh? I thought at least a $25 dollar gift card or something worth more then 8 bucks.

Then as you said they started to only go over the igloo club seats . . . . discrimination I say discrimination!

If they are Flyers season ticket holders there is no reason that the "Broad Street Bullies" image should be forgotten. I feel I am probably in the minority of Flyer fans on this, but I am sick and tired of the organization and fans constantly celebrating the actions of a team from almost 40 years ago, it is 2012 not 1975. However, at the same time I get annoyed when opposing fans try to throw that back at Flyer fans. Yes, it happened and I won't deny or try to hide from what this organization once did, but it doesn't justify anything that happens to players in 2012 who weren't even born in the 70s. I'll admit a large number in the fanbase still wants to live in the 1970s, but not all of us feel that way. I can be embarassed or unhappy with the way my team plays and the way the fans act, but it is not going to stop me from cheering for my team. I am sure everyone can agree with that regardless of their rooting interest.

I understand you are commenting more on the fans, not the players just remember not all of us are that bad and hate the Penguins and everything about the team and their fans.

- austinwac

No, not all of you feel that way, but a greater portion. If your fan base had moved on from that mentality to a different direction, I wouldn't have brought it up. However, the constant chirping from your fan base regarding the actions of the Pens - playing hard and playing on the edge in this series is laughable considering most of your fan base still applaud the "Broad Street Bully" mentality. It's unfair to throw all of you in the same category, but sadly, the vast majority do fall in that.

As if somehow the people that could afford igloo club seats really needed those discount blimpie subs. They are the people who would throw it in the garbage walking out, and would also leave behind their IceTime/whatever the free giveaway was that night. It is the people in the regular seats who would actually appreciate it. Ive looked and couldnt find a video of it on youtube, but there was one time the blimp got too close to E balcony and some people on the railing grabbed it and held it there while others stripped all the envelopes off it.

So is Martin out tonight because of being a liability or because he actually has an injury? Also, is Z sitting out as well or is that a GTD?

Der Untergang / Downfall.

Watched in German last year for my final course during my senior year of college.

I had seen all the parodies beforehand and needless to say.. i had to stop myself from laughing when it got to that part.

My opinion is that he is benched, but it's being called an injury so that it doesn't hurt his (nonexistent) trade value.

If Despres looks good and the Pens manage to win a game or two without looking like defensive garbage, does anybody think that will mean an automatic trip outta town for PMart this summer(not that he hasnt earned a one way ticket already)?

For Martin, I've hear it was an injury sustained on the Schenn charging, but that is probably just speculation.

But he did miss practice yesterday, so I doubt they would hold him out of that for sucking... he needs all of the practice he can get.

whats everyones thoughts on rumors that staal is unhappy about his position? if it is true and a move to wing isnt going to fix things. what do you think we can get for him? im saying atleast 2 1st and a player and pick... just judging by what players went for at deadline...

i hear nash needs a new center..# 2 pick

and it saddens me to think like this bc im a huge staal supporter and feel he is needed on this team... but if he wants out and a trade then lets go rape a team

The Flyers better close it out tonight because they don't want Pittsburgh to remember that they are the better team.

Fleury is the better goalie and it's not even close but what the hell happened to him?

A superstar can takeover a series and we have 2 of them. While I'm not expecting to win tonight from what I've seen so far if they can pull 1 game out then this series will go more than 5.

By the way Depres should have been here all season and I trust him more than Martin or Lovejoy.

Who knows... I think that quote was contributed to his agent, who is going to say and do whatever he can to get his guy the most money.

Not sure what the return is, but only having a year left on his deal hurts his asking price a little bit, I would think.

No idea how realistic this is, but I would want a young top 6 forward or top 4 defenseman, and a good pick or quality prospect. Basically someone to replace Staal on the roster now, and some future help.

This summer will be interesting to see how everything plays out (Staal & Sid extensions, defense makeup, etc.).

thinking out of the box here.............

staal wants out... we get a top 10 pick a player and a prospect mayb even a low rd pick next yr.. martin gets moved for a pick and porspect, depres called up... sid signs for hometown/concussion discount and we go after parise and another top 6 winger...

Skipped all the chatting here, as neither team is really clean, but we have been the worse of it in this series. Hoping for a good clean game, none of this bush league crap. Putting on the lucky jersey too
