40+ wins horrible? - sbrubakerjr
Let's admit it. Fleury is overrated. The pens are an offensive team. Fleury is good not great.

Yeah. He was not lights out as everyone seems to be saying. There were a couple of very good saves, but nothing to be intimidated about as far as I could see. - PT21
i really thought one of those jam plays would leak through and into the net, but he managed to keep it out. he deserves much of the credit for preserving the win. had very little to do until the 3rd period pp. |

Pretty harsh considering how he stoned the Flyers in the 3rd period. He anyone with any objectivity would say he was fantastic. - Emperor Filonius
Fantastic? I don't know about that. He was solid, but Briere shot the puck right into his pad twice in a row. 98/100 Danny hammers that top corner. But congrats on a hard fought win. Pens shut it down when they had to. I just don't think they can do it again Sunday, but GL.

Flyers haven't scored an even strength goal since game 3, interesting.
Wish the Pens would learn not to take stupid penalties. |

Give him credit where it's due man he played great. That's what scares me. I like how the fans got behind him tonight. As much as I hate to say it we should take a note from their play book and cheer bryz. He's playing hurt in front of him is a mash unit. I give him props for tonight's game . Not bad |

By the standards of this series, even being merely solid could make all the difference. |

Dude hates to lose. Not a bad thing - eayost
Why was he so mad, someone asks?
Upset about the loss, but please rewind to about 5 seconds left in the game, after Claude had caught up to and deflected Matt Cooke's empty net attempt.
IMO, the league should definitely look at that play. 5 seconds left and the outcome is done and that basttttard takes a run at Giroux's head. Luckily Giroux's spider sense was tingling or he'd be concussed.
When they briefly showed Cooke skating backwards past the bench after the game had ended, you could see the entire bench was yelling at him.
What a POS |

MAF was stellar in the third period, but like you said, he had to do very little in the first two periods.
Flyers hit two posts, and didn't convert the SH odd man rush ( Pens later scored on the PP) and Giroux was in on MAF all alone and shot the puck over the net. |

Don't worry what goes around comes around maybe not in this series but I don't think your going to find a player that's not keeping tabs on this kind of poop. |

When you play good positional goal, guys shoot it into your chest. He made 7 saves on your last powerplay. I call that pretty fantastic. The only important thing he has to do is be better than Bryz or Bob. Great game tonight, nice to see a real playoff game. |

I, perhaps, wouldn't go as far as to say he was fantastic. But I would say he was good enough to get the job done tonight.
He played well when he was needed, and that's really all you'd want from your goalie. |

Umm no, Briere had him but could not get the puck elevated. Kudos for Fleury for having his pad down but he had to have it somewhere. Face it, your goalie isd good but not great. Is he better than Bryz? after this game yes but let's not get crazy.

many squandered chances early. the failed 3 on 1 on the sh situation when they were still up left me with a bad feeling. i'm pretty angry right now. |

Flyers had their chances. They didnt cash in. When the Flyers get the puck deep they control the game if they dont Pittsburgh seems to control the game. Have to get it in deep and make their defenseman play the puck. |

Remember when Bryzgalov had that incredible shutout and win streak during the regular season and I told you guys not to get too excited because historically he has always been a streaky goalie. And then everyone chewed me out on here because they were convinced he had become the best goalie of all time. Well I'd just like to say told you so. |
