Yeah I'm disappointed, I have a good feeling for Sunday though. I think they played a pretty good game tonight. Second period was not good, but overall they limited the Pens chances. Sucks to lose a game when you hold Crosby and Malkin scoreless. - PLindbergh31
i've been quietly thinking about this. those guys were virtually invisible, and they lost on a goal by fruitbat. |

all the pressure is on Philadelphia. Penguins are playing with house money - watsonnostaw
Pittsburgh was the overwhelming choice to win the Cup, they have pressure Sunday. Flyers do face pressure as well, if they lose game 6, they are pretty much dead in the water in game 7. |

Remember when Bryzgalov had that incredible shutout and win streak during the regular season and I told you guys not to get too excited because historically he has always been a streaky goalie. And then everyone chewed me out on here because they were convinced he had become the best goalie of all time. Well I'd just like to say told you so. - nyy
Hooray for you. I think you forgot that he also got hurt since that shutout streak and is clearly having trouble with his lateral movement, or at least in one direction. |

None of the 3 goals were "soft goals" but you would like your goaltender to find a way to stop one of them. |

nobody ever told you that or thought that. good lord. he's also playing with a fracture in his foot, and hasn't been the same since. his decline in play began immediately after coming back from his injury.
he's a very good goalie. hasn't played that well thus far. all he has to do is play well enough 1 more time. |

Malkin was not invisible. - PT21
Yeah he might have given Crosby in a concussion |

Cant have defensive breakdowns like tonight. 2 on 1 because Coburn jumps up in the play for no reason. Then you have five Flyers down low and give up a slapper from the dot. |

I'm not going to debate semantics. He did what he needed to do, tonight...made saves when they needed him to do so. Just like he did in the finals. Dude earned a ring for his team and that's good enough for me. - Emperor Filonius
Fair enough, but as a fan he is the least of my worries in this series. Crosby, Malikn, neal, Letang and Staal. are very good to top players. Fleury is a very good supporting cast guy IMO. Capable of stealing games yes but also a head case. We should know look at our goalie.

You can discuss Bryz all you want.
But, no 5-on-5 goals in 7 periods won't win you games against the Penguins. |

There were a few breakdowns, it's going to happen in a 60 minute game. They need the goaltender to bail them out once in a while when a mistake is made. |

Have to be better. Need to get the puck in deep because thats when the Flyers have been at their best in this series. |

sure it can. entirely possible to win a game 2-1 or 3-2 with special teams and 4 on 4. that's all it takes. and the odds of pittsburgh not allowing an esg the rest of the way is very low. |

He had 4 SOG and looked pretty dangerous until the Pens went to lockdown mode in the 3rd. At least, I noticed him. I still don't understand why teams don't hit him harder - he seems to have a pretty short fuse.
Holy cow what a hit he laid on 87. I dunno if I have ever seen a player hit his own from the front like that with that much momentum. It was indistinguishable from a hit you would lay on the other team. |
