So was Schenn's charge on Martin. So was Hartnell's nice little hit on Kennedy before he got called for a slash. Quit being a baby. Everything is dirty when Pittsburgh hits; but its clean when Philly hits? Got it. - Oneonta Penguin
lmao, when did I ever say that? I've called out lots of Flyers hits as dirty this season. I thought Rinaldo deserved a suspension from last game. |
|
|
|
a little exaggeration there, guy
- FlyerGuy
Where is the exaggeration - 110 mph? Because he jumped from three yards out and intentionally tried to injure Martin. |

Thought I certainly saw head contact. However, I didn't see 2 things.
1.) Penguins fans crying about the hit.
2.) Flyers fans acknowledging the hit ever happened. - sbrubakerjr
There was, but it wasn't going to get called at that stage of the game. TK has to be smarter.
If it were Malkin they would be b!itching and crying for a suspension

You thought he deserved to be suspended only because he brings nothing to the table. He is a poopty player and you don't want to see him the rest of the play-offs because he plays dumb hockey. Schenn's hit on Martin deserved a game; Rinaldo - eh?

no, he didn't jump from 3 yards out.
are you a mind reader? how do you know he was intentionally trying to injure the guy and not just lay a big hit like some of your players do? |

I'd expect the whole bench to hell. He's the Flyers best player, you can't let it stand. But with 4 seconds left, I want Cooke to smeat Giroux. Cleanly, but put him on the ice. They still have 60 minutes at least, it's time to get into Claudes head. |

I wouldn't have minded if Rinaldo was suspended ... but I also thought he deserved a game as a repeat offender. I said that several times.
Schenn's hit on Martin was a charge. He left his feet a little and it probably should have been looked at by the league if it wasn't. |

Again, every hit Pittsburgh does is dirty, but Philly is clean. Every hit, Pittsburgh intends to injure or seeks out XXX player to get him out of the game, but Flyer players don't do anything dirty. Got it.

Big win tonight folks. Its not going to get any easier, but the Pens finally resembled the team we've come to know and love tonight. Flower....just can't say enough about what he did tonight. |

I'm being objective. There was no reason for him to take a run at Giroux there with 4 seconds left and the puck at the other end of the ice. It was just dirty.
Did they miss a call on Coburn? Absolutely. The Flyers got a big break there. - FlyerGuy
In a regular season game, sure, the hit is unnecessary, but I don't have a problem with a hit with 4 seconds left if it's clean in a tight playoff series. |

Can you imagine how Crosby would get ripped in the hockey press if he did something like that? He's be called a sore loser and "un captain like" and other associated BS. |

Cluade isn't whining. He's being feisty. He's a gamer. Come on. You know there's only one player on the planet who cries to an official. |

Crosby got ripped for saying he didn't like the Flyers players.
Giroux said today he doesn't like Pittsburgh fans.

That's actually what they are saying over on the other board. Saying he's a competitor and hates to lose.
Must be the only NHLer to feel that way. |

From start to finish, this was a great game--by both clubs. Something that stood out, though, was the crowd at CONSOL. For the first time in any playoff game they remained raucous throughout. There was a bit of a lull when it was 2-1 but they were amped up unlike any crowd that has piled into the barn since it opened. Good stuff. |
