If this is Nicklas Lidstrom's last game, the hockey world should stand & applaud the epitome of class & the greatest D-man since Bobby Orr.

If he continues to play that way, I like our chances. Bryz was better tonight, but the Pens let him off the hook a bit early in the 3rd. - Emperor Filonius
They fell into the rope-a-dope plan. That plan scares me, they did it in game 1 too. |

Everyone here knows that if Crosby smashes that stick like that, and THEN says I hate Philly fans, it would be a topic for 3 days......
Oh wait he did ONE of those, and it was..... - ryman1566
Crosby gets more attention because he's the best player in the league, and (let's be honest) he was pretty immature in his first few years.
Giroux isn't at Crosby's skill level ... but if he continues to show immaturity I'm sure he'll get that reputation just as Sid did. |

yeah, the Pens did back off a bit in the 3rd. And, conversely, the Flyers were WAY too passive in the 2nd. They were lucky to be only one goal down going into the 3rd. |

Was it me or should both teams have been called for too many men at least twice in that game? |

If only the Pens shut it down with the lead in the first 2 games like they did tonight
I hope Crosby is okay. |

I believe one team had 7 on at once, at one point. |

There were a few times that it could have been called. I noticed a bad one right before the Pens first PP. |

From Malkin's hit?? Seemed like he stayed in the game, I wasn't able to give the game my full attention |

I wonder if Crosby did this, would he be called immature by the sanctimonious flyers' fans and the media! I think we all know that answer. I personally think it's funny! - stevens87
I've seen lots of players do that stuff ... I don't like it. Immature.

Wow...server maintenance really worked wonders. I'm trying to quote Ben re: Giroux and the puck, and the quote comes up something I haven't even read in the thread. Good work, Ek. I'll do it myself.
I don't have a problem with it. No matter who does it, Crosby, Giroux, Hall, whoever it shows that they are engaged.
I just don't agree with the media spin on it. If Crosby had done that the social media world, talking heads and haters would be losing their poop. - Ben37
I thought Giroux's little 'interaction' was great, and it wouldn't bother me if Crosby did it, or Bylsma either, for that matter.
As a fan in the stands, I love that stuff.

Game notes:
Staal's line was unbelievable. They kept it simple and it paid off big time. Wish the top two lines would do the same and stop with the fancy crap.
MAF, played the game of his life, no doubt a bout it.
The fans. My ears are still ringing. It gave the team a lift. The Fleury chanting clearly gave him a lift.
Tha was one of the most amazing games I have ever witnessed. This team has a ton of heart. Sunday is the game. If they can win in Philly, and I believe they can, game 7 would be a nightmare for Philly. In a game 7 all the pressure would be on them for letting it get there, it really wooud. So who is gonna win game 6?
No idea but boy I am happy to say I now 'officially' like our chances! Lets Go Pens! Gotta BELIEVE. |

The guy is pure class. I hope he continues to play because he is still good. That said, I'd rather him retire and go out on top instead of being Steve Carlton - a guy who hung on eight years too long. |

Red wings are hosting Winter Classic, I would be shocked if he retired.
Oh yeah, and go Pens!
Just get it to game 7 ... |
